Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. I spent a lot of time taking apart and cleaning the drain pump and hoses in my Bosch dishwasher. I still got the error that the drain pump wasn't right. So, after doing some research, I learned that the motor might be done and that seemed to be the only solution. We replaced the black door seal gasket around the front of the dishwasher. The old black seal gasket had begun to deteriorate, every time it was touched black stuff would rub off onto hands and onto utensils in the upper basket. We wore some disposable gloves to remove the old seal to avoid getting the black stuff on our hands. Got new replacement spring and cord for our Bosch compact dishwasher. A plastic retaining bracket that held the old spring also was broke but the new spring had its own piece that fit into a slot in the plastic frame, so i just popped it in there, connected the cord, and bingo. The door now works. I tried using the old spring, but it would not work because of the broke bracket. Read more

Process was a bit more complicated than the videos I had watched online. Had to remove both front panel and control panel to get to soap dispenser. Removed wires to soap dispenser and rinse aide dispenser. Removed wire "harness" around the top and right side of dispenser. Pried back the clips to allow dispenser to be pushed out. It was helpful to have another person to hold the door open at this point. Bent clips back and reinstalled everything. New part works great. Read more

I bought just the replacement lid based on other reviews. The door cost about a third of the whole soap dispenser module but took a chance it was just the lid. Although the part number is the same there was a new flange on the inside of the lid. Would have been nice if Bosch sent the redesigned part to owners. Either way replacement took 2 minutes and the problem is gone Read more

I easily found the replacement part on the Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered (2), one for each end of the handle and yes it is the same part for either side. They showed up a few days later. I had seen a video of how to expose the handle screws behinf the door face. I backed out the appropriate (6) Torx screws and the front of the dishwasher door came right off exposing the handle screws. Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak). Water was left in the bottom of the dishwasher after each time we ran it and the dishes were no longer getting clean. Also, there was always soap left in the dispenser. I took the DW completely apart and determined the water was not being forced out of the discharge tube and was merely draining via gravity. It finally gave E15 code, then after drying out the E15 code came back within 5 minutes of running. I dried out the base then I ran the dishwasher and observed water coming down the overflow chute after running only 5 minutes.There is a water inlet (clear water chamber on the side of the machine). It had some gunk inside that was stopping a black float shut-off from moving. I replaced the water inlet chamber. I also suspected the non return valve (also called a check valve). From the parts...
