Ordered door latch part and new spring.
You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. It wasn't an expensive or hard fix to get my microwave up and running again. So pleased with AppliancePartsPros for having what I needed and being reasonable about pricing. Turnaround time was excellent!

I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. One of the pins holding the door release lever of my built into a wall cabinet, 9-year old, microwave had broken off keeping me from opening the microwave door.
As one other customer mentioned, the actual repair was easy. Once I had received the replacement lever from AppliancePartsPro.com, replacing the lever took me less that 15 seconds. Putting the microwave cover back on and resetting it into its place in the cabinet took another 15 minutes.
