The plastic left rear wheel was coming apart and needed replacing Gary H. • San Antonio , TX • June 11, 2016
I decided if one needed replacing I might as well both two--made sense to me. None were available locally so I ordered them on-line. Surprisingly they came sooner than I expected. I also found a video on the internet that clearly showed the procedure. The actual repairs took 15 minutes or less. One good suggestion from the video was to run the screw in and out of the wheel bracket before final mounting. The video also suggested putting something under the corner to eliminate tipping. The...

The Screw is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This screw secures the refrigerator door hinge in place, allowing the door operates smoothly and seals properly.
Over time, screws can become loose or go missing during repairs or adjustments, which can lead to a misaligned door, compromised sealing, and increased energy consumption.
Symptoms of a bad screw include:
- The refrigerator door seems misaligned or does not close properly.
- Increased effort needed to open or close the door.
- Unusual gaps around the door seal when closed.
- The door might squeak or make other noises during operation.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Water dispenser was no longer working Kelly W. • Houston , TX • January 24, 2017
After being told by a service repairman that it would cost me close to $200 to repair, I resolved to just not use the dispenser. After about a year, I had decided that I wanted to repair it and would look at the options myself. At the least, I could figure out which parts were needed to repair it and have them on hand for a service guy if I determined I could not do the job myself. The more I studied it, the more I felt confident that I could do it, and sure enough, when the part arrived - a...

This is a replacement screw designed to work with a wide range of household appliances. It is used for many purposes in these appliances, from holding body panels together to securing electronics into control boards. However, screws are subject to damage through corrosion, impact, and improper installation/removal. In most cases, the primary damage to this screw is through corrosion – it may become rusted or corroded in place, depending on the appliance and the maintenance provided during its lifespan. The screw may also be stripped or rounded due to improper removal or installation. If the screw is damaged, lost, or corroded in place, it will need to be replaced. In most cases, removal will require nothing more than a Phillips head screwdriver or the appropriately sized socket with a ratchet. However, if the screw is damaged, it may require a tap set to remove it from its mounting location. Note that this is a genuine OEM replacement screw made from durable, high-quality metal, and is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool, Maytag, Roper, Estate, Amana, Crosley, and Thermador appliances. It is used in over 150 machines, ranging from washers and dryers to air conditioners.

Fridge making clicking sounds and not cooling? A faulty compressor start device causes repeated clicks and cooling failure. Simple DIY repair.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Fridge stopped cooling was making a clicking sound Heather G. • Childwold , NY • October 18, 2014
I did some research online to pinpoint what the clicking noise was - discovered it was the relay switch. Very simple repair - after I removed the back panel on fridge I located the relay mounted on side of the compressor. It came off easily. Ordered my part at 4pm and it was delivered to me by 11am the next day. Installed the new relay, plugged the fridge back in and BINGO - it worked :). Super simple to do - anyone could fix this issue on their fridge.
