Symptoms of a compromised gasket include:
- Frost or ice buildup near the door threshold from leaks
- Difficulty keeping foods frozen solid in compartments near the door
- The cold air felt escaping around door edges when closed
It is also compatible for use in Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and some Kenmore models.

First I removed the panel on top of the refrigerator that covers the water line that feeds the dispenser. Do not disconnect any electrical connections or the water line at this time. Remove the panel from the back bottom of the refrigerator that covers the compressor and water valve,...

Ice dispenser auger motor burned out David T. • Ponte Vedrda Beach , FL • October 18, 2016
Lost power for 24 hours due to hurricane Mathew and water dripped into the ice dispenser motor and refroze when the power was restored. Ice maker worked but would not dispense ice. Dispenser motor was frozen and motor burned out. Two screw under the ice bucket reveals the auger motor. Four screws removed the motor. I think they were 5/16 socket.
Removing the wiring harness was the only problem. Connection were corroded and a pin broke off the motor and a female connector in the plastic...

Ice forming in the ice cube bin Bill J. • Scottsdale , AZ • December 13, 2014
I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. Re-levelling the refrig didn’t help, nor did adjusting the cube size / fill level.
With guidance from the video, I removed the icemaker from the wall of the freezer. The...

Ice would not dispense through the door Pamela G. • Jacksonville , NC • June 19, 2016
Thanks to the testimony of others on the site, I knew exactly which parts to order. The triangular holder which keeps the ice storage container was cracked so I replaced it. I also ordered a new Auger Motor Drive Shaft which makes the curvy metal piece in the bin turn. Mine had worn down and would not turn the curvy metal piece anymore. Replacing these pieces worked like a charm. My kids were amazed that ice now comes out of the door after 2 months of having to reach inside.
