I put a piece of two-by-four, (2"x4") about 10-inches long on edge under the door to support the door. I removed the 3-bolts attaching the door hinge at the bottom corner. My 10 year old frig door was hanging down to the point it wasnt fully closing and sealing unless you picked up on it. I ordered a lower hinge bracket, upper and lower bearing, and spacer. I ordered a refrigerator door hinge, hinge pin, and washer. The descriptions and pictures imply that these items are sold separately. However, the hinge I received was an assembly that included a pin and washer. I replaced the original hinge assembly with the new assembly, but the door still sagged (not as badly as before). I needed to change the racks and the doorstop. The racks were super simple. Looked for obvious signs of mal-function, burned wires, etc. I found that the compressor controller(attached to the compressor) had an obvious burned-out spot. Took a chance that was the problem (it was); ordered all new OEM parts, including a new timer and run capacitor (a part that kicks in every time the compressor starts). It was really easy. I found the part number using an online search, ordered the shelf and just inserted the ends into the holes in the freezer walls. Fortunately, I read on a question and answer forum that four end caps were also required. This detail was not listed in the shelf description so knowing this, I was able to order the caps along with the shelf and avoid having to place a second order once I got the shelf and discovered that I needed the end caps. Had a friend who is an appliance repair tech. Replace the evaporator, the heater coil, and the filter/drier. Parts were soldered together and the compressor was put under vacuum. Then, charged with 5 oz. of refrigerant. The freezer works great now! Read more
