Previously, I removed the lower rear cardboard back of the unit and saw the crack in the defrost pan. It was probably damaged when unit was moved using appliance hand truck. Replaced motor and new solenoid and yoke assembly, motor ran fine but Ice maker did not make Ice, water was turned on and the wire off and on latch was is the down position (on). Disconnected the water line from the Ice maker tray, ice had formed in the line while I was waiting for my parts (about 5 days), I would suggest disconnecting the water line at the feed end were your shut off valve is located and allow water to drain out of line. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam.
