Ordered a ge thermostat part . Took everything out of freezer , unscrewed panel and took the plate out. Used a hair dryer to defrost ice. Took out old part and installed new part. Everything is working just fine!!! Used a meter to test old/bad part and indeed it was dead.

Had to cut the old line at the water storage tank and attach the new one using the connector fitting from the kit. The new line was run on the outside of the refrigerator to reach the solenoid valve on the opposite side. The is no route within the refrig other than under the compressor/motor. Not the best situation but I secured the line with cable clamps.
