This boot auger motor drives the auger inside the ice dispenser boot to move ice from the bin to the dispenser chute. Replaces a failed motor to restore normal ice dispensing and reduce jams. What it does:
- Rotates the auger inside the dispenser boot to push ice forward for dispensing
- Helps prevent ice buildup by moving packed cubes during dispense cycles
- Stops working when motor windings or gears fail, causing no ice to dispense or intermittent dispensing
- Works with the dispenser drive and auger assembly to transfer ice from the bin to the chute
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair
- Access typically requires removing the freezer/refrigerator door trim and dispenser housing; follow OEM service instructions
- Inspect related components (auger, coupler, wiring) and replace if damaged

No ice would come out dispenser Donovan L. • Atlanta , GA • July 04, 2015
The auger motor failed and wouldn't turn. I replaced the motor and it works without a problem. Make sure you dont throw away the motor boot or buy one if you don't have one. Otherwise, the temperature will freeze up the motor and lead to premature failure.

The R134 Drier is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This component plays a critical role in the refrigeration system by removing moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant, ensuring efficient cooling and preventing damage to other parts of the system. It helps maintain the purity and effectiveness of the refrigerant as it cycles through the system.
You should replace the R134 drier if it becomes clogged or damaged. Common causes of a bad drier include wear and tear over time, exposure to moisture, or contamination from other failing components in the refrigeration system.
Symptoms of a bad R134 drier include:
- Reduced cooling efficiency
- Frost buildup on the evaporator coils
- Unusual noises from the refrigeration system
- Increased energy consumption
- Refrigerator not maintaining the set temperature
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
