Noisy bearings in condenser fan motor Glenn S. • Eagleville , PA • November 22, 2015
I bought the listed condenser fan motor for my Maytag refrigerator. Access to the condenser fan is by removing sheet metal screws of bottom panel with 1/4 in. nut driver. Condenser fan is on left side of rear access area. Remove electrical connector by pressing-in connector release tab with thumb fingernail and pulling on connector. Remove three mounting screws with 5/16 nut driver. Work fan out to the right past the compressor. I used a pair of pliers, as a lever, behind the plastic fan blades...

The Fan Blade is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is essential for circulating air throughout the refrigerator, ensuring that the temperature remains consistent and the cooling process is efficient. The fan blade helps distribute cold air from the evaporator coils to different parts of the refrigerator and freezer compartments, maintaining an even temperature throughout.
Over time, the fan blade can become damaged due to wear and tear, obstruction by debris, or impact from moving items within the refrigerator. If the fan blade is cracked, broken, or loose, it will not be able to circulate air effectively, leading to cooling issues and potential food spoilage.
Symptoms of a bad fan blade include:
- Unusual noises coming from the refrigerator
- Inconsistent cooling or warm spots within the compartments
- The refrigerator running more frequently or for longer periods
- Frost buildup in the freezer
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

One of the fan blades broke off the condenser fan Kevin C. • College Station , TX • April 03, 2017
I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. After replacing the motor assembly and reconnecting I tested by...

The handle on the refrigerator door was broken and needed to be replaced Richard W. • Baltimore , MD • April 12, 2015
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The most irritating part was figuring out what parts to order. The drawing of the refrigerator door (Drawing # 4) used to figure out what parts to order was not clear. I paid $8...

Coil in freezer iced up and refrigerator would not cool David M. • Ambridge , PA • December 10, 2015
My unit has a bottom freezer that is a drawer. I had to remove the drawer, rack, glides, glide tracks, and ice maker to remove the rear panel. This was a little difficult but after researching a few videos on line I learned some tricks that made it easier. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice. This is best done with 2 people having one at the back to sponge the water into a bowl from the pan to avoid a water mess. Using a bolt meter I checked the heating element and found it had continuity. I...

Drawer slide spring had broken needed to replace slide Sima H. • Great Neck , NY • November 23, 2016
There are videos on You Tube,. After removing the bottom basket, you remove the entire drawer including the door together with it, by using a screwdriver to depress the white clip on each drawer slide which releases the slide from body of the freezer.
Once you pull our the entire drawer, you will need to drill out a rivet to remove the old slide. You will need a rivet gun to attach the new slide.

Ice maker stopped making ice Janell N. • Portland , OR • August 10, 2014
I had verified that the water supply was healthy, so it was either the icemaker unit or the water valve. I replaced the icemake first, based on a the pareto showing it was the culprit for most other people, but it didn't help. That replacement was straightforward; the hardest part was reaching all the way back to unclip the wiring harness since I am too lazy to totally empty the bottom freezer and remove the door.
So the next step was the water valve. The hardest part of this was pulling the...

The drip pan had basically disintegrated in the 6 years i've had the kitchenaid refrigerator Robert M. • Glenside , PA • November 06, 2015
Had to take the back cover off. It was very tight to remove the fan that sat in the drip pan but did get it off, was able to apply the same level of cursing and got the new pan installed, installing the drain tube was a breeze. Found the parts price very reasonable. Hoping the Whirlpool redesigned the pan so I won't have to do it ever again. I was surprised at how bad the quality of their original part was. Probably saved myself $150.00 on buying the part and doing it myself

This door gasket runs around the perimeter of the door opening to create a dependable seal when closed. A proper seal helps limit air and moisture leaks, supporting stable internal conditions, reduced condensation, and efficient performance. What it does:
- Seals the door perimeter to block unwanted air and moisture infiltration
- Helps minimize condensation around the door and maintain consistent internal conditions
- Replaces gaskets that are torn, cracked, warped, or permanently compressed
- Can help when the door won't seal properly or you notice drafts, moisture, or temperature swings
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power if removing the door or working near electrical components
- Warm the gasket (soak in warm water or use low heat) to relax it before installation
- Press the gasket fully into the channel/retainer, ensuring corners are completely seated
- Check for uniform contact all around; adjust door alignment if needed and allow up to 24 hours for the gasket to conform
