This was not particularly difficult but certainly wasn't the same process. Also, I removed the freezer door to do the replacement in... Read more

Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Upon removing the control panel, the first thing I noticed was that the brackets that hold the two lower screws were broken. (So this was the reason that the door was so hard to open from the time it was new.) I trouble shot the thermal fuse, the door-latch switches, and inspected the control board trying to find... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Refrigerator and freezer not cooling.   Tom C. • Dorchester , MA • March 06, 2021

Tested start relay and fan with multimeter both passed. The condenser would start only if the thermostat was on the highest setting and the refrigerator would cool for a while, stop and not restart unless I adjusted the defrost timer. Decided to replace the thermostat, defrost timer and defrost thermostat. The refrigerator is working as expected. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice maker leaking water into ice container through ice maker   Matthew V. • Knoxville , TN • November 22, 2015

After some research on the internet,I found out that the most likely cause was a failed water inlet valve. The refrigerator is quite old so I wasn't going to spend an arm and leg on it to fix it. I was followed up with an e-mail stating an estimated time when the part would be released. A week or so later I received the... Read more
