I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. I replaced the upper nozzle guide, nozzle shaft and upper spray arm. I also replaced the pump gasket for good measure. Top rack dishes had not been cleaning properly. I first removed the filter assembly to inspect the main pump from above. It was clogged but after cleaning and reassembly I observed that while middle and bottom spray arms were changing position, the upper spray arm was not. I went to AppliancePartsPros.com and looked at the parts breakdown for the door. I had assumed a broken spring or cable so I found and ordered them. Having never changed them on an LG, I watched the video. I now new what to do. The hardest part of the whole job was pulling out the dishwasher to get at the springs and cables. There was enough slack in the hoses and wire to get it out without disconnecting them. Start to finish took less than thirty minutes. Read more

Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. All the information I found on the website really made this a easy job to get done. Read more

Followed the LG owner's manual instructions for cleaning the wash "arms". After that was complete the lower arm wouldn't operate. The filter assemble was caked with calcium, so decided to replace it and the lower spray arm and the "Holder" as your catalog described it. Removal and replacement were easy. Thanks to LG NOT sending the parts THEY say are included with the dishwasher, I had to buy them in order to install the appliance. I sure hope the LG appliance performs better than their customer service. Very simple fix....bought the EXACT items needed from AppliancePartsPros.com and in just a matter of two days, had the parts needed. Amazing! Excellent experience. I replaced the dishwasher circulation motor. I also replaced the impeller assembly, although it turns out that was not necessary.
