Top spray arm not spinning in lg dishwasher Mark F. • San Carlos , CA • February 02, 2020
I replaced the upper nozzle guide, nozzle shaft and upper spray arm. I also replaced the pump gasket for good measure.
Top rack dishes had not been cleaning properly. I first removed the filter assembly to inspect the main pump from above. It was clogged but after cleaning and reassembly I observed that while middle and bottom spray arms were changing position, the upper spray arm was not. I confirmed that water was flowing through the upper spray arm by placing some empty yogurt pots on a...

Ne error code dirty silverware in upper third rack and door broken off soap dispenser. Nathan M. • St. George , UT • July 27, 2019
I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. I then used a needle nose plier to carefully turn the D-shaft on the new motor to exactly...

Dishwasher counter brackets were broken Dana D. • Richmond Hill , GA • January 17, 2016
I ordered new brackets to replace the broken ones. With the new brackets the instructions also showed me how I could also secure the dishwasher to the counter from each side. I replaced the brackets and secured the dishwasher to each side of the cabinets. The dishwasher is more secure now then ever.

Very loud wash cycles. Ricky L. • Broken Arrow , OK • February 19, 2022
I had to disassemble the circulating pump housing to replace the motor. The cam motor shaft seal had failed. This led to water leaking to the motor which caused it to rust. After replacing, my dishwasher went back to being silent. The hardest part was figuring out how to access a couple of screws on the housing.

Continuous loud droning noise during operation Scott S. • Littleton , CO • December 17, 2018
I suspected the 'circulation pump' to be the culprit. I could not find a 'circulation pump' so I deduced via the picture schematics it must be the 'casing assembly, pump' I found on the website. I have heard there have been issues with the 'drain pump' so I also ordered the 'case assembly' on this site which is an odd name for the drain pump.
Boxes came with just the part inside no instructions or other info. This was fine as I have been diy repairing things my entire life.

Thanks to LG NOT sending the parts THEY say are included with the dishwasher, I had to buy them in order to install the appliance. I sure hope the LG appliance performs better than their customer service.
Very simple fix....bought the EXACT items needed from AppliancePartsPros.com and in just a matter of two days, had the parts needed. Amazing! Excellent experience.
The fix was attaching the brackets to the cabinet and screwing it to the countertop. Also just popping the screw covers...

The Micro Switch is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in detecting when the door is securely closed prior to starting a cycle. This important safety feature prevents accidental exposure to hot water, detergent, and chemicals.
Causes of a bad micro switch include degradation from years of repeated use, debris interfering with mechanisms, or damage from attempts to force or slam the dishwasher door closed.
Symptoms of a bad micro switch include:
- Cycles failing to start despite a closed door
- Hot water or steam visible escaping when running
- The dishwasher not detecting the closed door position
- Error codes displayed related to door position sensors
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore. Replacing only when truly faulty helps ensure safe and reliable dishwasher function.
