The Time Delay Fuse is an OEM part for LG microwaves. This fuse provides a safety mechanism by delaying the flow of electricity, protecting the microwave's electrical components from power surges and ensuring the appliance operates safely. It helps to prevent immediate damage in the event of a power surge or electrical fault, thus prolonging the lifespan of the microwave.
Over time, the time delay fuse can become damaged due to electrical surges, wear and tear, or faulty connections. If the fuse blows, it can disrupt the microwave’s ability to function correctly.
Symptoms of a bad time delay fuse include:
- The microwave not turning on
- No response from the microwave control panel
- The microwave stopping unexpectedly during operation
- Electrical issues or blown circuits in the microwave
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Lg microwave oven did a loud pop and quit working Stephen C. • Cape Coral , FL • March 18, 2015
Called AppliancePartsPros because of good experiencing diagnosing problem with a dishwasher repair. We definitely are modest income amateurs! Same excellent response to our questions. Three possible causes. Used easy search menu to fine replacement parts. Bought all three, knowing that if all not needed, the others could be returned (within 365 days) for refund. Replaced the capacitor successfully after calling to get more help with a couple of places where we got stuck. Oven now works...

Microwave door won't stay closed or latch? This door latch spring provides tension to secure the door shut. DIY repair in under 10 minutes with video help.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Lg microwave door would not latch closed Audrey S. • Rochester , NY • February 05, 2018
Ordered door latch part and new spring.
You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. It wasn't an expensive or hard fix to get my microwave up and running again. So pleased with AppliancePartsPros for having what I needed and being reasonable about pricing. Turnaround time was excellent!

This is a micro switch that detects whether the microwave door is properly closed and latched. It is part of the safety interlock system that prevents the microwave from operating with the door open. Replace this switch if the microwave does not start when the door is shut, runs with the door open, blows a fuse when the door closes, or stops mid-cycle intermittently.

Interior light and turntable failed at the same moment. Stacey B. • New Bern , NC • February 01, 2021
Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch.
Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were...

Microwave won't heat or makes loud buzzing noise? The diode regulates magnetron current flow. Simple repair—test with multimeter for continuity.

Our microwave made a "pop" sound and stopped working/ Daniel D. • Chesterfield , MO • September 12, 2020
I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. Excellent trade to buy $40 worth of parts rather than a new $400 microwave. One nit - Kenmore puts a screw in the back that...

This is an incandescent light bulb designed for use inside a microwave oven cavity. It illuminates the interior so you can monitor food while cooking. Replace this bulb if the interior light no longer turns on or flickers intermittently despite having a good socket connection.

The glass tray from the microwave had broken and the interior light bulb was burnt out Rebecca H. • Linesville , PA • May 27, 2015
The tray was an easy fix as I looked up Kenmore Microwave and ordered the replacement. The light bulb was a little trickier as to replace it you must have a special screwdriver that has a 5-pointed bit with a hole in the middle. This is because nothing else is safely serviceable on the microwave. I unplugged the microwave and moved it to my kitchen table to do the work. The entire outside case had to be removed to access the light bulb which is on the upper right side. You must unplug the...

This is a truss-head tapping screw used to secure trim, panels, and small assemblies on compatible LG appliances. It provides a low-profile, wide-bearing head that helps hold parts flush and resist pull-through. What it does:
- Fastens plastic and sheet-metal components where a self-tapping thread is needed
- Truss head spreads load to prevent damage to soft or thin materials
- Helps secure control panels, brackets, or trim pieces that require a low-profile head
- Common replacement when original mounting screws are missing, stripped, or corroded
What's included:
- One truss-head tapping screw
Install notes:
- Use the correct screwdriver bit and moderate torque to avoid stripping the screw or workpiece
- Start threading straight and let the screw form threads without forcing at an angle
- Disconnect power and follow appliance-specific service safety procedures before working internally
- Replace any damaged mating threads or clips for a secure fit

This is an AC synchronous motor that drives the turntable glass tray inside the microwave. It rotates the tray slowly during cooking to ensure food heats evenly. Replace this motor if the turntable has stopped spinning, turns intermittently, or makes a buzzing or humming noise without rotating.

Turntable stopped turning Jason W. • Lakeville , MA • October 05, 2019
Very easy repair, conveniently there is a hatch on the bottom of my microwave that provides access to the turntable motor. You have to cut this hatch out of the bottom with a pair of wire cutters. Then you just remove the plug on the motor, the two screws and it will come right out. To reinstall the hatch you just rotate it 180 degrees and insert the two tabs into the slots on the bottom cover. You will need one small sheet metal screw to hold it down. It would have been nice if the...
