Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The washer sounded like a jet plane when it went through the spin cycle very loud noise Lane C. • Pleasant Garden , NC • February 24, 2015
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars...

Lg washer/dryer combo unit shook upper counter balance weight loose damaging the mount lugs on the tub cover and tore the tub gasket Christine V. • Saluda , VA • March 28, 2020
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back...

Relocation of front load washing machine missing transportation bolts. Timothy J K. • Warners , NY • April 22, 2019
AppliancePartsPros.com carefully looked up and provided the correct bolts required so the washer drum would not move during transport. Representative really took the time to make sure we had the right bolts. That was important to me...no matter how long it took! The bolts arrived the next day as promised...I had to expedite them due to time limitations. They worked liked a charm and I have run the washer without missing a beat! thanks soooo much!

This drain hose cap seals and secures the refrigerator defrost drain outlet so meltwater is directed into the drain hose instead of pooling in the cabinet. Replaces a worn or damaged cap to help stop interior leaks and water buildup. What it does:
- Seals the defrost drain outlet to prevent water from spilling into drawers or onto shelves.
- Guides defrost/meltwater into the drain hose and toward the drain pan.
- Helps reduce odors and pests entering through an open drain opening.
- Fits onto the drain outlet to replace cracked, missing, or loose caps.
What's included: One drain hose cap. Install notes:
- Disconnect power before working inside the refrigerator to avoid electrical hazard.
- Remove shelves and drawers as needed to access the drain outlet; clear any visible debris or ice first.
- Press the cap firmly onto the drain outlet/hose until fully seated; avoid excessive force or prying tools.
- After installation, pour a small amount of warm water down the drain to confirm proper flow and seating.

Washing machine was making a rumbling noise during the spin cycle Steven Q. • Beaumont , CA • July 03, 2026
Watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos to replace the tub bearings. Completely disassembled the washing machine. Found that water leaked past the rear tub gasket causing the inner tube bearing to corrode. Replaced both bearings and tub gasket. Inner bearing was the cause of the problem but I replaced both bearings and tub gasket.
