Frank July 03, 2015 for Model Number Bosch shu9915uc/u11 I have a Bosch dishwasher that is not washing dishes. It fills with water but pump sounds noiser than it use to. The lower spray arm has water coming out but does not spin. Also found a crack in the upper feed tube that water is coming out of. Could that be causing the problem or is the circulating pump bad also?
1 Answer Hello Frank. Yes, dirty filters and cracks in the tube or spray arms will cause poor cleaning. Read More...
Etay May 25, 2015 for Model Number shx45p05uc/64 I have a dishwasher which is not washing well. The upper arm gets water, but not enough to spin and the bottom one spins but barely cleans anything. I took the unit out and ran it without filter in the sump to make sure the sump fills up to the top level, which it does. I also made sure the pump actually turns when the unit runs by visually looking at it when it runs from the back of the unit, (I can see the fins running). I then went on to disconnect the sump assembly and removed the circulation pump (with impeller assembly) from the main sump so I can inspect it. The pump is not seized and I can move the impeller freely with my finger. It does not feel like there are bad bearings or anything holding the motor back from spinning and I did not see any blockages in the intake piping. At this stage I am wondering if I should just order a replacement pump and hope that fixes the issue or if I possibly missed something? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Etay, You should not just look for clogs and restrictions but also for any point that can cause a loss of water pressure. This causes the water pressure to be low and a poor wash result. Check the spray arm assemblies for separations and the point where the middle spray arm couples at the rear of the upper rack to the feed tube in the rear of the unit. Read More...
Caren April 04, 2015 for Model Number SHU5315UC/U12 Hello, My dishwasher one day began making a loud noise and stopped getting the dishes clean. I notice some water coming out of the spinning arms but I don't believe the dishes ever get wet. It runs through the cycle and gets warm but the dishes don't even look like they have been even rinsed. It drains properly. The two biggest symptoms are noisy motor sound and dirty dishes. What do you think it could be? Thanks!
1 Answer Caren, You will want to check the filters in the unit to make sure that they are not dirty. Check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the circulation pump impeller which would cause this issue. Make sure that there is enough water getting into the unit. If all this checks ok then most likely the circulation pump is bad. Read More...
Lee March 11, 2015 for Model Number she45m06uc/48 My dishwasher makes a horrific noise then water runs out from under it. After pulling it out and laying it on it's back, a lot of what looked like white shredded plastic came out of it. Do you think a new circulation pump is in order or is it worse? If so what is the correct part # and cost? I can do the work myself.
1 Answer Lee, While it does sound like the issue could be the circulation pump, you will want to open the base of the unit and inspect it. It sounds like there may be some damage to other things like the housing since there is white plastic coming out. Read More...
Tim March 04, 2015 for Model Number SHY56A06 UC/14 (FD8301-) My actual Bosch model # is SHY56A06 UC/23 sn FD8508. It seems like the unit is not getting enough water, the pump is noisy, like it is running dry, but some water does fill the tub, just not enough. I took the supply line off and water is full force. Reading stories here, leads me to the water inlet valve, but it is allowing some water in. Is there a way to "test" or inspect the valve to verify it is the issue, or could it be a water pump after the inlet valve? Is that the circulation pump? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tim, If the unit is not filling with a sufficient amount of water, the water pressure to the unit should be checked first, then the water valve 00425458 should be replaced. Read More...
Corny February 10, 2015 for Model Number bosch shv4803uc/u12 fd8104 pooling water in bottom I blow through disposal end of discharge hose air does not come out even tried a air compressor! washer stops about 2 min after you start it with water pooling again I clean out the waterwith cup same thing clogged hose, bad pump, pump rebuild kit?? what
1 Answer Corny, You will want to pull the drain hose and check to make sure that the hose is not clogged. Make sure that the flapper that would be on the pump is not damaged. Check for power to the drain pump and make sure that there is power going to it. If no power then the control module would be the issue and if there is power then the drain pump would be the issue providing no clogs in the hose. Read More...
Morgan December 29, 2014 for Model Number SHU53E05UC/14 (FD8502) I'm trying to buy a circulation pump for our Bosch dishwasher. I had one circulation pump picked out and out of curiosity did a model number cross reference to see if the pump matched my washer model and it said it did not on your website. So I clicked the link to find parts for my model number, found the circulation pump that was recommended by your site, did another check on that page to cross reference that part with my washer and your site said that it was not the correct part. Can I get a confirmed circulation pump # or a direct link to the proper pump for this dishwasher? SHU53E05UC/14 (FD8502) Thanks in advance. Morgan
1 Answer Morgan, The correct circulation pump for your unit would be part number 00239144. Read More...
Robert October 11, 2014 for Model Number SHX33A05 UC/14 (FD 8211-) Hi, I have a Bosch Dishwasher. Model #: SHX22A05UC/14. I am trying to trouble shoot what may be wrong with it. The dishwasher made a really loud noise like something was burning out. There was some water left in the bottom of the dishwasher. I was able to drain the dishwasher by bypassing to the empty cycle. The dishwasher does not work at this point. When I turn it on it sounds like it is stuck and does not go on to do anything. Before I spend all kinds of money and time on it I would like to know what you think it is. Please email me back. Regards, Robert
1 Answer Robert, If the unit does not fill now and does nothing at all then the issue sounds like it may be in the control board. If the unit fills but nothing else then it sounds like the circulation pump would be faulty. Read More...

John M July 20, 2014 for Model Number SHY66C05 UC/14 (FD8301-) Dear Expert(s), Following the advice from the Expert to my initial question, the washer now seems to run fine with no more water accumulating in the base pan. (only tried the Quick Wash cycle). It runs, it heats, it sprays (top and bottom), it drains and it dries. BUT, it gets stuck at 1 min at the end of the cycle. It actually stops completely, with no more water in the machine and the dishes are hot and dry, so it’s basically done. NO drain or pumps is running, but it does not count down to 0 (zero) and gives the audible “cycle complete” beep. I have waited as long as 10 mins to see if it kicks back in, but NO! The way I have “fixed” this is to open the door and turn the machine off for about 1 min. Then, turn it back on and close the door. The display now reads 4 mins. (The first couple of runs it read 2 mins after off and on). I can now hear the relay(s) clicking and it counts back down to 2 mins. At that point, I hear the drain kicking in and the Circulation Pump starting. This goes on for about 1 min while the machine counts down to 1, then to 0 at which point it stops and gives the audible indicating complete cycle. Having researched this, I keep running into a bad relay (under capacity), a burned solder joint or a faulty Main Board….? So, I took the board out and opened it. It looks fine and I see no burned or bad solder joints (my model is not on the Bosch recall list). So, I put everything back together and ran a new cycle (Quick Wash), but with the same result; stuck at 1 min. So, could it really be the board ($$$) or a relay or do I just need to “re-set” or “re-code” the machine since I have had it open with the Circulation Pump out and also replaced 2 parts ([Bosch # 00425458] and [Bosch # 00499500]) ? So far, I have not been able to find any information on how to "re-set" my specific model. This is not a huge problem, but more a nuisance that I can work around. But, it’s not supposed to work this way besides I have to be present when the machine is running. So, I would be very grateful to any suggestion(s) on why this happens and how to fix it.
1 Answer John, This model does not have a reset feature for the control board and you would want to replace the board. The relay would also be located on the main control. Read More...
