Anthony C February 26, 2014 for Model Number wfcm6400uc I have a Bosch washer Nexxt WFCM6400UC. I have just received and installed the replacement drain pump that was provided by your company. it was a bit different than the original, a bit lighter and it contained a manual drain. it was installed from the rear. Although a bit difficult it was easier than taking apart the front cover. Once all the work was complete the water was tuned on and the machine was plugged in. The water fill was filling the machine and the drain was activating at the same time. The machine would start to aggregate at a slow speed.the water would pulse and fill intermittently and when ever the machine took water the pump would drain it out. After about 8 minutes a error code would appear " water tap closed". the tap was open and clear, the filterers were clear, Why would the machine fill and drain simultaneously. Please help it doesn't seem as if it is a siphon problem as indicated on some blog sites.
1 Answer Hello Anthony. You either have a siphoning issue, or the board is powering the pump when it is not suppose to and you will need to replace the board on the unit. Read More...
Harry M January 25, 2014 for Model Number WFMC2201UC When washing sometimes it works fine then the next time it will code E04 which said the unit could be plugged with debris, check it and the pump had some junk but very little. Cleaned the hose from the pump to back of machine. Replaced hose from outside the machine to sewer drain. Put machine in drain or spin and the pump is spinning buy still not draining water all the time. What should I do? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Harry. It sounds like you need to order and replace the drain pump motor on the unit. Read More...
Steve In A2 January 24, 2014 for Model Number WFMC220UC My tenants have been getting E13 (pump time-out error) intermittently for years, but it seems to be increasing. They could eventually clear the problem and unlock the door by running the drain/spin cycle. I suspected too much detergent was building up, but the problem persisted after they ran 3 cycles with no detergent and 1 cycle with Affresh. Yesterday I disassembled the entire discharge assembly from the sump to the drain hose. There were no clogs. I cleaned everything of soap scum. I tested the pump with 120V ac directly applied to the terminals. The pump ran, but appeared to switch directions (based on the appearance of the vanes occasionally going from a blur to a split-second "frozen image".) In a no-load condition, is the pump supposed to turn in only one direction at constant speed, or is it normal for it to change speed and/or direction of rotation? (Unfortunately, I did not check the resistance across the pump terminals before reassembling it.) Thanks for any help.
1 Answer Steve, Based on the information provided it does sound like the drain pump is the cause for failure. Read More...
Doug November 14, 2013 for Model Number WFXD8400UC I have water in the drain pan under the washer. It appears that the cap for the drain Pump has a bad seal. I can see water coming out of the cap. I took the cap off and cleaned the filter and reassemble the cap. I believe that more water was coming out before the maintenance but there was still water coming out after the maintenance. I had to use a pair of channel locks to get the cap really tight but there is still the table spoon or so that will get past the seal during a complete wash cycle. My question is does Bosch make a replacement seal for the cap or must I by the whole pump assembly which I ASSUME will come with the cap and seal? Can the pump cap with seal be purchased independent of the pump? My pump does not appear to be leaking anywhere else and as near as I can tell there is no other place that the water is coming from. There may be a negligible dribble from the door seal but only a drop or two during the wash cycle nothing that would be a huge cause for concern.
1 Answer Hello Doug. You need to replace the pump assembly on the unit to repair the unit. Read More...
Charlie October 20, 2013 for Model Number Bosch WFMC3301UC/11 Can the drain pump be removed from the washer through the front access hole? I am getting Error 13 during the wash cycle and the manual says it is not draining. I see the water sitting in there. I have to run a quick wash cycle and it drains then. I would like to replace the pump. On your web site Part number 00436440 will work per live chat person.
1 Answer Hello Charlie, The drain pump 00436440 cannot be changed through the little hole. The main front panel has to be removed unless you can change it from the rear, (tough but not impossible). Changing the drain pump from the rear does require the removal of the rear panel and reaching through the unit to the front where the drain pump is mounted. Changing it from the front requires the main top, control panel, and main front panel be removed. As a note, the part number listed is correct for the model number posted. Read More...
Doug September 25, 2013 Washer WFMC3200UC/01 I was looking at pump. Is there a way to tell if it is this issue or the control. Is there a way to send into diagnostic to spit out an error code. It keeps getting to 2 minutes left for drain then doesn't finish. Took out the filter nothing stopped up?
1 Answer Hello Doug, You should test for voltage to the pump when in drain. If voltage is getting to the pump and it isn't running, the pump has failed. If the pump is running and the water isn't coming out of the drain line and there is no clogs, the impeller has seperated from the motor shaft and the pump should be replaced. Read More...
Robert September 09, 2013 for Model Number WFMC2201UC/12 PART NO. 436440 My drain pump was clogged with coins. The unit will not drain or go into the spin cycle. After I manually drain the unit, it will not go into the spin cycle. Question is, when drum has water and not draining, will the remaining cycles freeze and not perform when directed by control knob? I do not want to replace pump and then find out control module is bad.
1 Answer Hello Robert, If the pressure switch sees water is still in the tub the unit will not perform any actions except agitate or drain. For this reason, you should open the main top and find the pressure switch. Remove the rubber hose from it and blow back into the tub through the hose. This basically clears the hose if it is clogged with lint and debris. Since you found debris in the drain pump 00436440, it has most likely failed and will require replacement. If you want to verify the pump has failed, open the unit and remove the wires to the pump and put your test meter on these two wires. If 120Vac is there when the unit is plugged in and put into spin, the pump has indeed failed. If no voltage is present in the spin cycle, the harness 00610156 or the control 00670509 is at fault. Mark R August 21, 2013 for Model Number 436440 Nexxt drain pump I ordered a new 436440 Nexxt drain pump and the new one came with a manual drain hose and instructions stating the following: “Replacing 436440 Nexxt drain pump - Due to a vendor change, Nexxt drain pump 436440 is provided differently then before. The original housing is not available, replaced by newer housing with the manual drain hose port open instead of plugged (see drawing below for port location). To avoid leaking, current replacement 436440 drain pumps come assembled with the manual drain hose (with hose clamp and plug) – meaning replacement 436440 drain pumps must be installed with the hose. Since production washers didn’t include the hose, it needs to be stowed near the pump when the pump is installed. [picture of pump] Note: To avoid leaking, do not remove the hose, hose clamp or plug from the pump.” My questions: How do I stow it? Is there a plug assembly that should have come with it? Why will water not just drain out when “stowed”?
1 Answer Mark, The hose as a plug in it which would not allow it to drain. Where the front of the pump goes into the panel there should be a hole next to the large opening that the hose would go through. If there is not this opening then you will just lay the hose somewhere in the bottom so that it does not vibrate and wear a hole in it. Read More...
Mlhanshaw July 29, 2013 for Model Number WFMC 3301uc/09 My washer is working correctly except it will not drain after wash cycle. I have checked the drain trap and nothing is there. When I set washer to drain manually it only hums. Is this a drain pump problem? E04 code. The door lock seems to be fine because I have no other issues with any other setting not working. I can spin out the clothes but not drain.
1 Answer Hello mlhanshaw. Make sure the unit is not clogged. If not, you will need to order and replace the drain pump on the unit if it is not draining. Read More...
Chris July 15, 2013 for Model Number Bosch Nexxt 800 Series (can't open door to get model number) I believe the Water Drain Pump went out on my washer. The code that appears is "Check Pump." I believe the part number is 436440. When the unit gets to the stage where it is supposed to drain the water out, the pump makes a humming noise and water does not discharge out of the unit. The pump is also very hot to the touch at this time. Does the description of my problem sound like the Water Drain Pump is bad? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Chris. If nothing is clogged on the unit, then you will need to replace the pump on the unit. Read More...
