Enrique For Fefb78dqk April 07, 2019 for Model Number FEFB78DQK The right front dual burner outer ring working but NOT the inner ring. I checked the element and I noticed a black spot it seems to be burn't out. I replaced the element with Part # 316555800, One the prong is too big and wider than the original. So, I replaced the female connector that match to the prong. When I plug the main power, the indicator light of the right front burner is ON but the switch is in OFF position. I turn the switch to ON and there is NO heat at all. I removed the new element and put back the original and turn the switch to ON, the outer ring heat but NOT the inner ring. If the switch need replacement let know the part number and price. I will call you as soon as I read your response
1 Answer Enrique, for the indicator light to have come on with the switch in the off position only when the new element was installed, this would indicate that there was a potential miswire as the light will only come on if 110VAC is applied. There is a small chance that the switch [316238201] is the issue based on the information given. The wiring diagram for your appliance can be found on the back of your appliance to assist with ensuring that the wiring matches up as this will eliminate the parts down to exact failure. Bill November 14, 2018 for Model Number FFEF3043LSP The right front dual burner outer ring works but the inner ring doesn’t. How do I check to see if it’s the element and not a switch?
1 Answer Bill, Disconnect power and you will want to enter the rear of the unit and test the switch for continuity. With the switch turned to an on the position you should have continuity between p2 and 4a and p2 and 4. If you have continuity and all other burners function correctly then replace the element. Jim September 19, 2018 for Model Number GLEF384 GBA This is the left front dual element 6-9" the inside small 6" element stop working no heat, the outside 9" is working so from what I've read it seems like it’s the element but how can I be sure it’s not the infinite switch? Also if its the element is this true - had to rotate the burner slightly so that the leads would connect, as the terminals for the heat Sensor are oriented differently on the replacement element. Thank you
2 Answers Jim, The inner and outer element are connected when the large element is working both will work. If the small element does not come on then this would be an issue with the element. Read More...

2 Answers Jim, Inside the switch, there are dual independent contacts for the dual element so in theory one can function and other not. So you can do a voltage test on the terminals providing the voltage to the element.[All this can be done with the element.] Also, you can check for resistance [ohms] of the inner and outer elements.[10-100 ohms or continuity] or 240 vac with the switch on to determine if switch operates correctly. Most units are stamped on the back of the limiter for wire placement. Read More...

1 Answer Crystal, If the terminal is too big you will need to get a smaller connector which should be a 3/16" connector. Read More...
