David April 26, 2016 for Model Number can't remember model, water filter wf2cb We have replaced water filter a number of times but the water will not clear up. Water looks chalky. Nothing wrong with our water supply. We tried this a couple of years ago with the same results, so we just stopped replacing it. Talked with a service guy and he said Frigidaire was having issues with the filters. So we just recently tried again and the water clarity is still not clear. Very disappointed in Frigidaire. We may sale this unit and get a different brand. We will never buy Frigidaire again and will discourage any one from buying this brand. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Erin H March 15, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire PureSource Ultra Water Filter ULTRAWF After replacing PureSource Ultra Water Filter (ULTRAWF) the water is cloudy. We have flushed several gallons of water through over many days. Cloudy sediment is not air bubbles as we have left pitchers of water out overnight to see if they clear. When it dries up there is a chalky sediment. The old filter was fine and water was crystal clear. What is causing this? It is not from our water supply. How can I trust that the water will be safe from future filters when I get a new one?

Where is the water filter? can't see anything on upper right of fresh food compartment where I thought it would be. Model number appears to be FRS23W3A** but it's not fully legible. 1 Answer Leo, Not all refrigerators have a filter system. Frigidaire refrigerators have two types of filters, a "canister" type located in the right rear top portion of the refrigerator compartment. And some have a "box" type filter system, located on the right side of the control console in the fresh food section of the refrigerator. They are pretty obvious and hard to miss. Presumable your refrigerator doesn't have a filter system. You may want to move the refrigeratore out and awat from the wall and check to see if you have an "inline" water filter installed on the water supply line to the refrigerator. Read More...
