Billy April 27, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire FRS23H7CSB1 I have an ice maker issue with my frigidaire. It is only 5 years old or so, but it only makes ice maybe once a month. The other day I grabbed the harvesting arm and wiggled it. For some reason it produced ice shortly thereafter, but only once. It still doesn't produce. Any thoughts? Fill tube doesn't seem frozen. Should I just replace the entire unit? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Billy. If the fill tube is clear and the unit is bringing in water, you will need to replace the icemaker assembly 5304458371. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jeff April 25, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire (FRS26F4CB3) My refrigerator is a Frigidaire (FRS26F4CB3), the refrigerator stopped making ice but still dispenses water. I have replaced the inlet valve (AP4298908) and the ice maker (AP3966072)on my refrigerator but it still doesn't work. When I hooked up the inlet valve I intentionally plugged the water power supply into the ice maker side of the valve to see if it received power. It delivered a larger amount of water into the water tube going into the the ice maker. Looking for suggestions.
1 Answer Hello Jeff. You will need to cycle the icemaker and check for 120 volts at the water valve. If there is no voltage there, you may have a broke wire going from the icemaker to the water valve. Hope this helps. Read More...
Gary April 14, 2011 for Model Number GLRT212IiDW1 I got a new ice maker and a new water valve . I filled the ice maker with water and it dumped but it still does not fill back up. I am puzzled.
1 Answer Hello Gary. Check and see if the fill tube is frozen. If so, it will not let the water fill the icemaker. Hope this helps. Read More...
Hugh April 09, 2011 for Model Number FRS6LR5EW3 My ice maker is making a kind of gring sound and the arm doesn't wire arm doesn't move. This problem started a few days ago and I was wondering if it would just be easier to replace the whole ice maker assembly, minus the tray of course.
1 Answer Hugh, In my opinion, Yes, it's always been easier and "safer" to replace the ice maker as an assembly vs. removal, dismantling and testing or replacing individual parts as needed. Hope this is helpful, and Thanks. Read More...

Mike V March 24, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire FRS26LF8CS1 My icemaker just stopped making ice. Water supply is good and I replaced the filter. Freezer is functioning normally. No sounds from the icemaker. What should I check next? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mike! Is water actually getting to the ice maker or is the ice maker just not dumping the ice? It is possible that you could have a bad water valve 242252702, which the dispenser can still dispense water if that side of the valve is ok. If it is getting water to the ice maker but it is not dumping ice, you would need a new ice maker 5304458371. Thanks. Read More...
Kevin March 18, 2011 for Model Number frs26r2aw8 When my ice maker fills with water it also have water coming out of the water dispenser in the door. When I get water out of the door, water runs in the ice maker causing it to over flow and spill into the freezer. I have tried changing the water inlet valve and the ice maker its self with used parts and I still have the same problem however I don't know that those parts were not defective. Any assistance on what I need to fix the problem would be appreciated. Thank You
1 Answer Hello Kevin. It sounds like your diode 5303918287 may be bad. This is located in the wiring harness where the water valve is. Hope this helps. Read More...
F.J. March 06, 2011 Good Afternoon, I have been battling my icemaker for a while now and I am respectfully requesting your professional advice. The trouble began when a few ice-cubes towards the back of the icemaker began getting lodged while being expelled by the arms. This would always be accompanied by constant loud clicking sounds. Each time (numerous times), I manually removed the ice and the icemaker would work for a while then the same issue would reappear. I subsequently removed the icemaker, conducted a visual inspection, and ensured that there was nothing mechanically wrong with it. After I replaced the icemaker, I adjusted the tension on the front but the same issue continued; at times more frequently. I recently replaced the water filter (long overdue) hoping that this would somehow help out. Now, the icemaker contstantly overfills and spills over, and the arms actually freeze into the ice-cubes, preventing them from being expelled. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello F.J. You will need to turn the screw on the front that you adjusted. That is the water level screw. Hope this helps. Read More...
