Jeff for Model Number Frigidaire (FRS26F4CB3)

My refrigerator is a Frigidaire (FRS26F4CB3), the refrigerator stopped making ice but still dispenses water. I have replaced the inlet valve (AP4298908) and the ice maker (AP3966072)on my refrigerator but it still doesn't work. When I hooked up the inlet valve I intentionally plugged the water power supply into the ice maker side of the valve to see if it received power. It delivered a larger amount of water into the water tube going into the the ice maker. Looking for suggestions.

Hello Jeff. You will need to cycle the icemaker and check for 120 volts at the water valve. If there is no voltage there, you may have a broke wire going from the icemaker to the water valve. Hope this helps.

Hello Gary. Check and see if the fill tube is frozen. If so, it will not let the water fill the icemaker. Hope this helps.

Hugh, In my opinion, Yes, it's always been easier and "safer" to replace the ice maker as an assembly vs. removal, dismantling and testing or replacing individual parts as needed. Hope this is helpful, and Thanks.

Hello Mike! Is water actually getting to the ice maker or is the ice maker just not dumping the ice? It is possible that you could have a bad water valve 242252702, which the dispenser can still dispense water if that side of the valve is ok. If it is getting water to the ice maker but it is not dumping ice, you would need a new ice maker 5304458371. Thanks.

Kevin for Model Number frs26r2aw8

When my ice maker fills with water it also have water coming out of the water dispenser in the door. When I get water out of the door, water runs in the ice maker causing it to over flow and spill into the freezer. I have tried changing the water inlet valve and the ice maker its self with used parts and I still have the same problem however I don't know that those parts were not defective. Any assistance on what I need to fix the problem would be appreciated. Thank You

Hello Kevin. It sounds like your diode 5303918287 may be bad. This is located in the wiring harness where the water valve is. Hope this helps.

F.J.

Good Afternoon, I have been battling my icemaker for a while now and I am respectfully requesting your professional advice. The trouble began when a few ice-cubes towards the back of the icemaker began getting lodged while being expelled by the arms. This would always be accompanied by constant loud clicking sounds. Each time (numerous times), I manually removed the ice and the icemaker would work for a while then the same issue would reappear. I subsequently removed the icemaker, conducted a visual inspection, and ensured that there was nothing mechanically wrong with it. After I replaced the icemaker, I adjusted the tension on the front but the same issue continued; at times more frequently. I recently replaced the water filter (long overdue) hoping that this would somehow help out. Now, the icemaker contstantly overfills and spills over, and the arms actually freeze into the ice-cubes, preventing them from being expelled. Thanks.

Hello F.J. You will need to turn the screw on the front that you adjusted. That is the water level screw. Hope this helps.
