For Frigidaire Refrigerator Dispenser Switch (Part Number: OEM20662020)

Gary for Model Number frs23hf5aw4

What would cause my ice dispenser to continuously dispense ice? I removed everything in front of fridge to thaw some ice in water line, and when I put everything back together, and applied power, the ice dispenser began dispensing ice continuously. I eliminated the actuator switch by removing the wires. However, when I unplugged the wiring harness to the touch pad the ice dispenser stopped. So, how would I know if it's the power control board, or the touch pad sensor board?

Gary, If the issue was solved when you unplugged the control board(dispenser harness) from the power control board, your issue is in the dispenser board 241700103.One of the buttons is stuck, or the circuit has shorted. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Mike. If the dispenser is leaking, you will need to replace the water valve 242252702 on the unit. Make sure there is no air in the lines. If not, replace the valve. Hope this helps.

Hi Ray. Shut off ice maker. Tape the freezer inner door sw. closed.Hold the dispenser arm for ice and see if the solenoid changes up and down as you switch between cube and crush. Remove the ice bin. remove the 2-lower screws holding in the bin- rail assy. and lift off.Unhook the elect. connector holding auger and solenoids. Back in beside the auger motor is a crush/cube solenoids. The solonoid lifts the crush/cube teeth rod to allow either choice. If this has failed ,replace it with part # 241675704. Thank you.
