Jason March 26, 2014 for Model Number WH49X10042 & WH43X10034 Hi, I have a GE washer. The agitator stops turning and it looks not broken. The washer can still spin and drain. The belt and motor seem fine. Do you suggest to replace the agitator coupler, agitator assembly or both? Thank you. Jason
1 Answer Hello Jason, I would recommend to replace the agitator coupler WH49X10042. You should verify this is the correct part by the model number from your units' I.D. tag, since it was not listed in this post. I normally verify it for each customer but could not for this reason. Read More...
Rose February 22, 2014 for Model Number 11026842690 The agitator doesn't draw the clothes down to the bottom of the washer. The top of the agitator seems loose and when I put my hand on the top and push down it seems to agitate correctly... The machine it self seems to be working, don't think I need to replace the little teeth(that's what I call them), dogs.

Alta December 20, 2013 for Model Number GJXRP080DAWW My agitator coupling bolt got loose, the agitator coupling is attached to the agitator and the complete assembly (agitator with the coupling) is out of the machine. The agitator coupling threads are worn out, I would need to replace it. The problem I am facing is how to remove the agitator coupling from the agitator. I see in some of the video they ask to put the complete assembly on the ground and hit the agitator coupling from top, however in my assembly I dont have access to the agitator coupling from top. The top part of the agitator is screwed to the bottom with four screws/bolts from underneath. Can you please suggest a way to remove the agitator coupling? Thanks, Alta
1 Answer Hello Alta, Start the screw into the coupler through the hole in the agitator like you were going to install it. Instead of tightening it down, only start the screw into the screw hole and reach in with a long piece of wood such as a piece of an old broom handle and hit it with a hammer. This should pop the coupler from the agitator. Now remove the screw and the agitator should be loose enough to pull from the bottom of the agitator. Read More...
Broski December 13, 2013 for Model Number WH43X10034 The upper agitator seems to be loose, as it wiggles around very easily, even with the washer off. Is there a way to replace just that, or does the entire agitator assembly need to be replaced in order for it to work properly? The lower half rests nicely on top of the coupling bell and spins properly, it's just the upper part. Thank you for your help!
1 Answer Hello Broski. If it is to loose, you will need to order and replace the agitator in the unit. Read More...
