Where the left rail is screwed into the wall of the freezer, the plastic of the freezer itself has snapped. This causes the ice to not dispense at all through the door. The rail itself isn't broken. Can I drill a screw into the side of the refrigerator from the inside to secure the rail in place? Is there anything behind the rail that would be damaged by doing this? The only alternative to this is to replace the refrigerator, because its not under warranty.

Paul, If the icemaker tray is leaning it will cause this issue or it may be an issue of the water valve not fully closing off.

Ice maker will not drop the ice after it is frozen. I have taken a hair dryer to it and removed the cubes, dried the tray then let it fill again. Same thing. The ice maker thinks it dropped the cubes then dispenses more water on top of the frozen cubes. The temp is within the range. The fridge is level and coils seem to be clean. Is there a small heater of some kind that comes on to lossen them so they can drop out if the tray when it turns ipside down? Please help!

Scott, Normally when a icemaker is stopping mid cycle then the icemaker will be the issue. With the icemaker having been replaced then this sounds like it could be an issue with the main control board on the unit.

Hello Lesley, You will need to replace the icemaker since there is a problem in the control unit of the icemaker assembly. I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

We recently moved this refrigerator from being a spare to being the kitchen refrigerator. We have never used the ice maker before and it has been turned off. We hooked it to our water supply line but it never fills up. Also, when you turn on the ice maker it continuously tries to drop ice. The arm moves up and down and the ejector teeth keeping turning. I stuck my finger down in there to be sure there was no water in it and was surprised by the heat bar in the bottom of it. I didn't realize ice makers had anything hot in them! Are these problems related or do we have two different things going on? We cannot find much info on these ice makers. Thanks
