The Diverter Motor Assembly is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It is a critical component used to control the direction of water flow within the dishwasher, ensuring that water is properly diverted between the different spray arms during various wash cycles.

Symptoms of a failing Diverter Motor Assembly include:

  • Inadequate cleaning of dishes, with some areas remaining dirty
  • Unusual noises, like humming or clicking, indicating the diverter motor is struggling to operate
  • Error codes displayed on the dishwasher that relate to water distribution problems
  • Water not reaching all spray arms

Causes of a bad diverter motor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues such as faulty wiring or motor failure, and mechanical obstructions or debris that prevent the diverter from moving smoothly.

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Hello Jeff, thank you for contacting APP, If the Drain Pump is not running at all I would suspect the Main Control EBR79686302. If the unit is activating the Drain Pump, but not draining out water, there is an issue in the Sump Assembly AJH72949004 with the Check Valve ABQ73502701, Pump Assembly ABT72909202, or Diverter Motor 4681ED3001D, of which I would suspect the Check Valve as more likely than the others.

Sunil, The first thing you’ll want to do with this error, as with most, is to turn off your dishwasher. The NE error code refers to the micro switch in your dishwasher. This switch is responsible for reporting to the board, the motor’s position in the dishwasher. If the micro switches are defective, this may require replacing them in order to allow the signals to properly indicate to the control board, that all parts are operating. Check the wires and harnesses to ensure everything is in the proper position/location; Check all connections on the diverter motor and diverter position switch (if they’re misaligned, the solution might be simply realigning and moving wires to the correct location); Reconnect any loose wires

Tim, Thanks for the question!!! This code would be in reference to the wash motor assembly AGM30016301. Be sure to check for any wire/connection issues before replacing the motor assembly.

Frank for Model Number LDF7932BB

LG Direct Drive LDF7932BB This sound happens when the arms start spinning to spray the water. I removed the drain cover, cleaned it and that area. Found 3 olive pits and string - some string was wrapped around the middle spray arm. Once that was clean, tried it again - still the sound. Video is of the washer making the sound. Any help is appreciated - what is causing this? How can I fix it? Inside, I've taken it apart down to the blade. There's nothing stuck in there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6tw-pHKWCI

Seth for Model Number ldf7774st

Top sprayer for utensils stopped moving and middle rack is not cleaning as well. No error codes. Replaced the diverter motor and noticed no difference. Both the original and replacement ohm out at ~4 ohms Checked wiring and didn't see anything suspicious. Does the diverter motor get a constant voltage supply during a normal wash cycle or is it cycled on and off? At this point I am thinking its the control board not telling it to move. When I run the diagnostic test it will briefly show Cr and then Lo from then on out.

Seth, Check those spray arms for clogs and the lines up. If that is all good it would likely be the diverter motor.

Cathy, With the valve being good and the water pressure and supply good, this will most likely be that either there is a loose connection in the wiring or the control board is faulty.

Paul, This unit has a diverter motor in it and you will want to make sure that the motor is getting power and that there is nothing that is causing the diverter to not turn. If the diverter motor is stuck or the motor has gone bad it will cause this issue.
