Jeff June 11, 2024 for Model Number LDF7551ST I replaced drain pump when I was getting OE ERROR . Worked great for 2 months and started doing it again . Replaced drain pump a second time . Still getting drain code and will not drain . Lines are clear and filters are clean . My question will the diverter motor keep the water from draining to the drain pump ?
1 Answer Hello Jeff, thank you for contacting APP, If the Drain Pump is not running at all I would suspect the Main Control EBR79686302. If the unit is activating the Drain Pump, but not draining out water, there is an issue in the Sump Assembly AJH72949004 with the Check Valve ABQ73502701, Pump Assembly ABT72909202, or Diverter Motor 4681ED3001D, of which I would suspect the Check Valve as more likely than the others. Sunil May 31, 2023 for Model Number LDS5540ST I have replaced the diverter pump motor a couple a times this year because of the nE error code. The dishwasher works fine for 3 months and then nE error code re-appears. There must something else I need to change. What else should I check. I've also replaced the micro switch as well.
1 Answer Sunil, The first thing you’ll want to do with this error, as with most, is to turn off your dishwasher. The NE error code refers to the micro switch in your dishwasher. This switch is responsible for reporting to the board, the motor’s position in the dishwasher. If the micro switches are defective, this may require replacing them in order to allow the signals to properly indicate to the control board, that all parts are operating. Check the wires and harnesses to ensure everything is in the proper position/location; Check all connections on the diverter motor and diverter position switch (if they’re misaligned, the solution might be simply realigning and moving wires to the correct location); Reconnect any loose wires Read More...

Frank March 31, 2022 for Model Number LDF7932BB LG Direct Drive LDF7932BB This sound happens when the arms start spinning to spray the water. I removed the drain cover, cleaned it and that area. Found 3 olive pits and string - some string was wrapped around the middle spray arm. Once that was clean, tried it again - still the sound. Video is of the washer making the sound. Any help is appreciated - what is causing this? How can I fix it? Inside, I've taken it apart down to the blade. There's nothing stuck in there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6tw-pHKWCI
1 Answer Frank, based on the information provided, it sounds like the impeller 5911ED3003A is starting to strip out and the motor 4681ED1004B shaft is skipping around inside of the impeller. Read More...
Seth February 15, 2022 for Model Number ldf7774st Top sprayer for utensils stopped moving and middle rack is not cleaning as well. No error codes. Replaced the diverter motor and noticed no difference. Both the original and replacement ohm out at ~4 ohms Checked wiring and didn't see anything suspicious. Does the diverter motor get a constant voltage supply during a normal wash cycle or is it cycled on and off? At this point I am thinking its the control board not telling it to move. When I run the diagnostic test it will briefly show Cr and then Lo from then on out.
1 Answer Seth, Check those spray arms for clogs and the lines up. If that is all good it would likely be the diverter motor. Read More...
Cathy October 25, 2021 for Model Number Ldf5545bd The ie code comes on I changed the water inlet valve it did not work I checked for water supply which was good where to go next.
1 Answer Cathy, With the valve being good and the water pressure and supply good, this will most likely be that either there is a loose connection in the wiring or the control board is faulty. Read More...
Paul July 03, 2021 for Model Number LDS4821ST My Dishwasher appears to cycle correctly but bottom dishes are not getting cleaned at all. When I open the dishwasher mid-cycle, The lower spray arm is not getting any water so it does not spin. will replacing the diverter motor fix this?
1 Answer Paul, This unit has a diverter motor in it and you will want to make sure that the motor is getting power and that there is nothing that is causing the diverter to not turn. If the diverter motor is stuck or the motor has gone bad it will cause this issue. Read More...
