Jason December 04, 2012 for Model Number LDS5811WW Wondering which sump assembly I need SN 601KW00149.
Brian October 12, 2012 for Model Number LDS5811 The lower spray arm will no longer rotate during the wash cycle resulting in unwshed dishes. It will turn freely but must not be getting water flow to rotate during wash cycle. The upper arms are rotating. I have already replaced the gaskets. What should I do?
1 Answer Hi Brian. There is a vario motor part # 4681ED3001D that is placed beside the main motor part # 4681ED1004B. Remove the lower rack assy. and the lower spray arm. Remove the top sump filter assy. to clean the debris build up. It may be that the chopper blade down inside is blocked and not allowing proper water flow from the vario motor impeller itself. Gary M May 24, 2012 for Model Number LDF6810ST HI, followed the traffic here but don't think I saw my specific problem and want to make sure I get the right parts I need. My DW is serial no. 611KWCF01131. I looked for a date on the motor but all I could find was 061016 not sure if there's a date embedded in that somewhere. My problem is that the DW will wash but will not pump out the water. Tried twice with the same results. I don't know if I need an entire sump assembly or just one part. Please advise what I need to get this working again, with parts nos. and gasket, if required. Thanks, Gary McMullin
1 Answer Gary, First thing , check and make sure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. disconnect the hose from the sink drain and blow in it or drain the dishwasher into a bucket. The Sump assembly 3485ED1002B is one way to go. Your post indicates the drain pump motor may be all you need EAU61383518 You'll have a better idea of which way you want to go, after you review the information we're sending you. Bob April 28, 2012 for Model Number LDF 7810St Hello, Checking which sump assembly I need to purchase on the ser # 503kw00327. It's going to be a chore to get it out of the cabinets just to flip it over. I've disassabled the machine from the inside and the motor was stuck and after putting a wrench on it, she turns stiffly. I guess the safe play is to buy the whole assembly vice just the motor. Thanks, Bob
1 Answer Hello Bob! After some further research the replacement sump assembly according to your model/serial is part number 3485ED1002B. Thanks! Read More...

Russ November 24, 2011 for Model Number LG Dishwasher LDS5811WW Our dishwasher has been displaying code LE. It wont start washing, it will fill and the sit there about 5 min. then display the code. It will drain by starting another cycle so that pump is working. I found some posts online about broken wires in the door, I found none. So I took the sump lid off, nothing plugged or anything. I did notice what appears to be the pressure pump very hard to turn. The other pump turns but is bit sticky. I put it back together and for the first time after moving the motors by hand it made a noise and stopped. I believe I need this sump which comes with both motors correct? I like Tim above don't know which one and should I get a Gasket too? I bought the unit about 3 yrs ago at HomeDepot, the serial number is 610KWAT00184. I couldn't determine if I need AP440788 or AP4447671. Could you help me out? Thanks Russ
1 Answer Hi Russ. Please look on the bottom of the motor and let us know the date code that is stamped directly on the motor bracket. This will help determine which sump you need. Thank You. Read More...
Fred G. November 15, 2011 for Model Number lg model LDF6810ST I need a new pump for my dishwasher. I "cheated" the switch and watched the spray arms through a plastic sheet I put up. There is almost no water pressure, not even enough to turn any of the three spray arms. I cleaned the places food could accumulate. Question: The website shows a pump assembly ($154) and a sump assembly ($180) what is the difference and which part do I need?
1 Answer Hi Fred. The difference depends on your serial #. If the date code on the bottom of your motor is before 15 march 2007, then you need the updated motor. The sump /motor assy. that is part # AJH31248608, does not use a thermistor/turbidity sensor. The motor /sump assy. that has the turbidity sensor has a 3 pin yellow connector built out of the bottom. Part # 3485ED1002B. It depends if your wiring harness has the yellow wire connector for the built in sensor. Thank You. Read More...
