Rollin Goans May 09, 2024 for Model Number 97641073311 this unit has the de1 code error,i changed the door lock with new one no change, i cant get it to go into diagnostic mode either, took a volt meter and checked the door lock with power on and all 4 terminals on door lock switch showed 120 volts to switch, checked the wiring nothing wrong, the only thing i can think is it could be is the control board but it also looks good, how can the 4 terminals on the door lock show 120 volts ?
1 Answer Rollins, If there is 120 vac to the door lock and you are getting this error code with a new lock, this would most likely be a board that is not reading the door lock switch being closed and the board would need to be replaced. Read More...
Helen May 14, 2020 for Model Number 79641162410 I have a Kenmore connect washer that isn't draining. I cleaned the drain filter. I took the drain pump out and checked for clogs. None were found. I tested wiring going to pump both were functioning. I tested receptors at the pump and they also are functioning. The pump comes on with a low hum but the washer never empties at all and just goes back and forth as it does in rinse cycle until error code OE kicks on. I read that it could be a bad door switch that is causing it to not drain. Is this correct? The door does go into the lock position, however, when this problem first started there was a buzz like sound when it went to lock. No longer a sound noted and the door does go into the lock position.
1 Answer Helen, as the drain pump can be heard attempting to operate, it is likely that there would be either a clog in the tub to pump hose 4738ER1002A, the drain hose, or the impeller of the drain pump motor 4681EA2001T could be stripped out. The drain pump can be tested for 120VAC at the main control during a drain and spin cycle by testing at the blue connector with a black wire and a brown wire. While testing from one wire to the other in a drain and spin cycle, there should be 120VAC. If there is, the door lock is not impacting the drain pump and this would indicate the pump as failing. Walter December 07, 2019 for Model Number WM3997HWA error code 0E checked all hoses for clog replaced pump (bought from you) not too long ago. The pump seems to pump a little, but still leaving water in the tub about a gallon or less any suggestions? Also trying to test washing machine switch but get no continuity on any of the 4 prongs with the switch closed or open thanks.
1 Answer Walter, the coin catch filter will need to be inspected for any clogs as this is common to build up lint and such over time. The wires going to the drain pump should also be inspected for any loose connections as well as any damaged wires. If that checks good, the hose going from the tub to the pump as well as the ports should be inspected for any clogs. The door lock switch can be tested from the red wire terminal as the common to the blue wire terminal and the orange wire terminal directly to the side of the blue. Read More...
Darin September 10, 2019 for Model Number WM3370HWA Getting dE door lock error code. Replaced door lock and didn't fix it. Replaced control board and didn't fix it. What else could be causing dE error code?
1 Answer Darin, the door latch hook will need to be inspected to ensure that the tension spring is allowing the latch hook to actuate. If the door latch hook does not actuate, it will cause the door lock to not engage and the door assembly ADC74154906 would need to be replaced. If the door latch hook does actuate, then you will want to inspect the wiring from the door lock EBF61315802 to the main control EBR78534503 for any loose connections or broken wires. Read More...
