1 Answer Rita, on the side that the door hits first is an arm that locks the switch into place. The putty knife would have to catch this arm to be able to push it towards the switch body so that it allows the switch to be rotated up from that side. John M August 08, 2018 for Model Number 79571303012 The light in the freezer doesn’t work. I’ve replaced the bulb and still not working. I found the replacement switch on your site. When the freezer door is left open, it makes a chime sound and when I close it the chime stops. My question is, could it be a faulty switch? Does the switch work both the open door sensor and light? I’d hate to order the part to just find that the bulb still won’t work and it’s a different problem. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
