April August 22, 2020 for Model Number RF267ABWP/XAA-0000 The energy saver light and alarm started going off and temperature started Rising. Ran self diagnostic and got fault code on each side of the display of 88. We unplugged the unit plugged it back in it appeared to be holding temperature, however there was a steady blinking light on the power inverter board, we unplugged the board and plugged it back in but now there is no led light on and the compressor is no coming on.
1 Answer April, the blinking light on the inverter would indicate a failure error code. It would be recommended that the forced test mode is activated to identify the blinking LED of the inverter if possible. Otherwise, the inverter can be tested for DC voltage using the connection CN10 at the main control. From the black wire (using the black probe of a meter), DC voltage would be tested at the red wire with the red meter probe for 5VDC and then the yellow wire with the red probe for 12VDC. If the voltage is correct, the main control DA41-00413J has failed. If the voltage is not correct, the inverter PCB DA41-00320A has failed. Unfortunately, the inverter has been discontinued and is no longer available. Read More...
Lee August 21, 2020 for Model Number RFG293HABP/XAA My Samsung fridge will start and cool and freeze then it stops cooling or freezing over and over. I change the inverter board(blinking three blinks) to no avail. Reinstalled the original board and everything worked but after reaching wanted temps it failed again. Could I have a temp sensor problem?
1 Answer Lee, the three blinks on the inverter indicate a possible wire connection issue, a compressor failure, or an inverter failure. If the wires have been verified as being in good condition and if both inverters show a blinking LED, then it would be very likely that there is a compressor MKV190CL2B/ASH failure. Read More...
Frank August 20, 2020 for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Not cooling or freezing. Red led is solid. I’m able to force freeze compressor into 1,2,3 speed. Took of Fridge evap fan panel off and only 1/3 of evaporator coil is frosted. Not sure if it’s a inverter board issue or Freon. If I hookup a psi gauge to recharge should one recharge while normal operating or at highest speed compressor setting. Also should each speed setting pull same psi value.
1 Answer Frank, if there is not a full frost pattern on the freezer or refrigerator evaporator after 2 hours of run time, this would certainly be a sealed system failure if the condenser coils are clean and the condenser fan is operating. Any sealed system repair would require a freon certified individual. Read More...
Matthew August 18, 2020 for Model Number Samsung rfg238aars Last week both the fridge and freezer stopped cooling. Tried troubleshooting and the light on the inverter control board flashed once. Did a flash freeze and eventually fridge started working again. Tonight same thing has happened. What would next steps be?
1 Answer According to Samsung, this is a "Starting Failure". The solution is checking connectors for Invert PCB & Comp Relay Connectors. If connectors are ok replace inverter PCB, if results are the same replace the compressor. Be sure to use the complete model number when ordering Inverter or Compressor if needed. Read More...
Gus August 16, 2020 for Model Number RFG238AARS/XAA Hey I’ve been having problems with my refrigerator, it works for a few hours , then all of a sudden stops , also I’ve noticed when it stops working the probe light from the ice and water dispenser goes haywire and blinks and blinks until a minute and the inverter board also is in sync with the blinks on the dispenser, then I disconnect the fridge for 5 mins the. It starts working again
1 Answer Gus, Check the outlet first, make sure it's a non-GFCI, 120 VAC, polarized and grounded outlet. Then replace the DA41-00617A/DA41-00617A Pba MAIN; AW CD-Pjt, as on the back of the refrigerator. Thanks, Read More...
Steve August 14, 2020 for Model Number RF261BEAESR/AA-0001 Hi I had my compressor and inverter board both replaced due to a power loss. The fridge (temp) is working fine, but the bottom freezer evap fan doesn’t come on at all. I have checked voltage at the terminal block and get a reading around 3 volts dc. The fan motor is fine as I hooked it up to. 9 volt battery. Also, I now have one solid red light showing on the inverter board which was not present before. No error codes on the panel. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Steve, " I now have one solid red light showing on the inverter board" indicates the board is operating Normally. The DC voltage to the freezer fan is low" Is the voltage between MAIN PCB Ground J23 JUMPER and CN 76 (Yellow) around DC7~12V? and Is the voltage between MAIN PCB Ground J23 JUMPER and CN76-(White) around 4.5~5V?. First check for loose connections and corrosion on the wire connections, then test the voltages at the main control board. Thanks, Read More...
Stephen August 04, 2020 for Model Number RT38FAUDDGL Hi, im having problem compressor not starting. Compressor seems ok with 14ohms on all winding. I noticed a blinking light on the main PBA 10x at a time. There is also a blinking light on the Inverter PBA (model ISB-LC 3050 / DA41-00814A) 3 blinks at a time. Please interpret the findings. Thank you
1 Answer Stephen, This model is showing as a model that is not manufactured for the United States and we would not have any information on this unit to be able to assist properly. Read More...
Sandeep August 04, 2020 for Model Number Samsung RT27JARMAVL fridge Main PBA board Led blinks twice. No cooling issue
1 Answer Hello Sandeep, 2 blinks on this brand usually refers to either a failed compressor or a failure on the separate compressor inverter board or on the main board if it powers the compressor directly. Unfortunately the model number given is an invalid model number. If you recheck the model number and repost your question we will be able to supply more accurate diagnosis as well as the replacement part. Read More...
Jason July 29, 2020 for Model Number RFG295AARS/XAA-0000 Hi. I got some flickering interior lights when we open the doors. Replaced light bulbs and tested with another power control board. The lights still flicker. Everything else works fine. Appreciate if you can provide suggestions. Thank you.
1 Answer Jason, have you check the light sockets? There may be a poor connection to the bulb. Here is the part number for that lamp holder DA47-40001E Read More...
Angel July 10, 2020 Hi, i have RSH7ZNRS with the old inverter board was flashing 1 time, then i replaced with new one its still flashing 1 time. What I need to do. And if its mean main inverter board its good when on both its shows same. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Angel, according to the testing guide, one flash indicates a compressor start failure, and its recommendation is to replace the inverter board and recheck all wiring connections, if afterwards still getting the same one flash then the guide recommends the compressor be replaced.
