Wayne January 16, 2017 for Model Number WF350ANW/XAA My washer does not drain. I have watched both your video's on the drain pump assembly and the drain pump. Are there 2 drain pumps in the washer? One in the front with the assembly and one in the rear of the washer? The assembly looks like it has it's own pump.
1 Answer Hello Wayne, There is only one drain pump DC96-01700A on this unit. Some units had a recirculation pump, but most of these were discontinued by the manufacturer. Read More...
Eric G March 03, 2016 for Model Number WF350ANW/XAA At start up our washer is making a squeal, it sounds like bad bearings in an electric motor. It is coming from near the drain tube lower front. Is it the assy pump where the filter is or is it the main pump located in the back going bad? I assume it is the front pump, but just want to make sure before ordering. Not getting any codes yet, just making noise at start up, I am assuming the washer starts by pumping any remaining water out first before starting a new wash cycle? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Eric. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you will need to order and replace the pump assembly DC96-01700A on the unit. Read More...
John September 24, 2015 for Model Number WF218ANW/XAA-0000 Keep getting drain code and am at a loss...any help would be appreciated. So far I have: - replaced the drain pump - removed and cleaned out all rubber drain lines - replaced the pressure valve/assembly - Part #AP4209074 (DC97-03716C) - replaced the control board - Part # AP4540752 (DC92-00287C) At a loss...the machine will begin the spin cycle but at about the 8 minute mark will error out since the drain pump will not kick on and water will not drain....Is there anything else that could be possibly causing this problem? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello John. You need to check the wiring harness and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Maryb July 09, 2015 for Model Number WF218ANW/XAA-0000 Our washer wont drain. (nd code) Cleaned out the front access and this did not solve the problem. Called repair guy. Repair guy attempted to replace pump, but found it was not the pump. The pump was only pulling 12 volts. He checked the board and all functions he tested on the board worked...Would this problem still indicate a board problem...he said that a few years back he encountered a similar problem and it turned out be the door latch....is that a possibility? Any other advice?
1 Answer Hello Mary. If there is only 12 volts, then the board is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Ryan June 29, 2015 for Model Number WF419AAU/XAA-0000 Opened door after cycle completed and smelled smoke, a small amount of smoke came from inside the drum. Unplugged and turned off water. Is this the pump? How difficult is the pump to replace? I've done repairs in the past.
1 Answer Ryan, It would be hard to say that the issue would be caused by the pump. You will want to check the inner drum to make sure that it does not have lateral motion. Push up on the inner tub and see if there is up/down movement, turn 1/3 turn and do the same thing. If there is any lateral movement then the flange on the rear of the tub would be broken and causing rubbing of the inner and outer tub. Read More...
Laura May 16, 2015 for Model Number WF330ANW/XAA01 Error code showing ND when manually draining it by unscrewing the bottom cap small pieces of plastic come out with the water. Could something have broken inside the drain pump?
1 Answer Hello Laura, If the unit is not allowed to drain during the cycle, normal operation dictates that when the board does not see the pump completing the drain, it will give the ND error code. This is how the unit is programmed. Read More...
John May 16, 2015 for Model Number wf409anw/xaa I need a part that I think is called an anti siphon valve. It is on the part called the assy pump drain wf218. It is positioned on the assy pump inside the drain line that goes out of the washer. Do you have it in stock? What is the part number?
1 Answer Hello John, If you are referring to the little rubber flap, (check Valve) DC62-00264A, it is designed to prevent drain water from re-entering the machine and is not available without ordering the complete drain pump assembly DC96-01700A. Read More...
Molly January 06, 2015 for Model Number WPRE6150K1WT Hello I wrote you about a month ago about my washer and I changed the 2 shocks, however its still making a noise like its rubbing. Are there only 2 shocks or 4, what else do you think it could be? Thank you in advance for your help Molly
1 Answer Hello Molly. See if the inner tub is rubbing the outer tub. If so, the bearings are bad in the unit. If not, check and make sure everything on the unit is tight and not loose. Read More...
Jeffrey December 15, 2014 for Model Number WF409ANW/XAA I have a WF409ANW/XAA Samsung washer that works fine, sets no codes, but has a very loud buzz sound on the drain cycles. I am trying to figure out if I need a AP4202690 drain pump, or a AP4564724 Assembly drain pump?
1 Answer Hello Jeffery, The drain pump listed for the model you listed is DC31-00054A. DC96-01700A is the same drain pump along with the complete assembly with the hoses and fittings. Read More...
Amanda W December 13, 2014 for Model Number WF330ANW/XAA The drum will not drain, so I drain it from the drain hose on front and then the drum will spin and message board for the timer jumps back and forth on the time. Cleaned all lines and pump but the impeller was stiff. I was just wondering if the drain pump assembly was trying to go bad.
1 Answer Amanda, To make sure that the drain pump is the issue, you can test to make sure that the drain is getting power when the unit is calling for the drain. If it is then the issue will be a faulty drain pump. The drain pump part number is DC96-01700A. Read More...
