Ryan for Model Number WF419AAU/XAA-0000 Opened door after cycle completed and smelled smoke, a small amount of smoke came from inside the drum. Unplugged and turned off water. Is this the pump? How difficult is the pump to replace? I've done repairs in the past.
Answer Ryan, It would be hard to say that the issue would be caused by the pump. You will want to check the inner drum to make sure that it does not have lateral motion. Push up on the inner tub and see if there is up/down movement, turn 1/3 turn and do the same thing. If there is any lateral movement then the flange on the rear of the tub would be broken and causing rubbing of the inner and outer tub. Read More...
