Drt June 14, 2020 for Model Number DV42H5000EW/A3-0000 What is the warrenty on the Heater Element Assembly Part AP4342351? I've bought two in the past two years and they last approximately 1 year from the date of purchase. Is there something else that could be causing them to fail early?
1 Answer DRT, if there is a relay that is sticking closed, or the element is not cycling properly, the heating element can fail early. Another thing that can influence the life expectancy of an element is a blocked airflow. The ventilation being partially clogged can cause the heating element to work harder. Mike May 19, 2020 for Model Number Samsung DV317AEG/XAA How to remove the front control panel. Watched your video and it was very helpful but my dryer control panel has 4 screws at the top and it does not seem to lift out from the bottom. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Mike, this control panel has tabs at the bottom. To remove this panel, the 4 screws would need to be removed and the panel should pull up. The top may need to be rotated forward a small amount to allow the tabs to release from the front door panel. Read More...
James April 17, 2020 I am in the middle of replacing a heating element for a samsung dryer. The dryer has a dual heating element. One side of the element is darker in color than the other side but I don't see any breaks in the element coil. Is this coil still operational? Thank you!
1 Answer James, it may be possible that the heating element is intact. However, it would be recommended that the element is tested for resistance to identify if the heater is able to operate properly. If the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...
Eric April 15, 2020 Sorry, you can add this to my last question. I want just the element, not the housing? Would part # dc47-00032a work with Samsung dryer model dv42h5600ew/a3?
1 Answer Eric, Yes, this heating element dc47-00032a would be the correct heater but is showing as being discontinued by the manufacturer and the only way to get the part would be to get the assembly DC93-00154A. Read More...

Eric April 15, 2020 My Samsung dryer has 3 terminals(blue, red, white) for the heating element. I bought a replacement element that has 2 terminals. Can I use this to replace it? Another thing is that I have searched for a 3 terminal heating element but cannot find one. Any help would be great
1 Answer Eric, the three-wire heater DC93-00154A would need to be used with your unit as it is originally a three-wire. It would be unsafe to utilize a two-wire replacement as an alternative as there would be a loose wire that could ground out. Read More...
Gordon February 16, 2020 for Model Number DV407AEW/XAA Dryer does not heat. Control panel and motor work fine. Vent is clear. Supply power is OK and all wires are hooked up as they should be. I first replaced the thermal fuse assembly AP5966894 but it did not fix the problem. I then replaced the thermostat AP4201898 and the thermistor AP4201716 and the dryer still does not heat. The heating element appears to be in good condition. It has no breaks and the coils are not touching/grounding to anything. I do not have a test gauge and was wondering if the element is the next logical (or only other) piece to replace at this point.
1 Answer Gordon, I would recommend at this point to get a multi-meter or someone with a multi-meter to check the voltages to see where it is being lost or if there is 240vac getting to the components. Read More...

Jose October 31, 2019 for Model Number DV45H6300EW/A3-0000 I have a three prong heating element. When I test for continuity I get continuity only between two prongs ( red and blue ) but none with the white prong. Does this mean my heating element is bad? The dryer is not producing heat. I already replaced the high limit fuse once.
1 Answer Jose, as the white terminal is showing an open circuit when tested to the other two terminals, this would certainly indicate a bad element coil. Read More...
