Jorge February 21, 2012 for Model Number rs2534ww The frezze temperature indicator is flashing; and the refrigarator is making a humm noise that stops when I open one of the doors. Thanks
1 Answer Jorge, The noise from the refrigerator compartment, is most likely the fan, so you're on the right track there. It's a dc motor, and they do have a tendency to lock up and not run. If the freezer display still has the flashing issue, let us know which segment of the display is flashing, so we can direct you from there. Thanks Read More...

Marcelo December 05, 2011 for Model Number Samsung RS267LASH (Same question - better explained) The refrigerator cools properly only when the freezer is empty - otherwise it wont go below 58 degrees EVEN THOUGH THE FREEZER IS SUPER SUPER COLD either way (empty or full). Is this something related to air circulation ? Should i replace the motor inside the back of the freezer or refrigerator compartment ?
1 Answer Marcelo, You're on the right track. first check and make sure the air return and the air tunnel openings are not blocked by any articles , frost or ice. Then consider the refrigerator compartment air circulation fan DA31-00146B. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Rjn August 21, 2011 for Model Number RS2577SW/XAA Is this a 120 volt fan? Should this fan run when the fridge temp is warm? Was wondering how to check for power in freezer? Like when would the fan be running? Thanks Rob
1 Answer Hello Rjn. No, the fan motor DA31-00020E is a 12 volt DC powered fan motor. With the door switch closed and the refrigerator on, you should see 11-12 volts dc at the fan plug. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
