Mark B October 30, 2012 for Model Number FAV6800AWW Here's the problem.. I changed the control board but still have the same problem . The display is says time 43 none of the push buttons change any settings in the cycle section 2 are lite. You can't change anything sometimes the chime goes off and have to disconnect the plug. To start it you might have to push the start button many times to get it to run and then it washes the cloths .
1 Answer Hello Mark. If the board is new, and the issue contrinues, and no buttons work, you will need to order the LED console WP25001206. Read More...

Ko October 12, 2012 for Model Number #fav6800aww Have Maytag Neptune model #fav6800aww,it was stuck on bulky items setting only. I washed a load of clothes and it got down to about 6 minutes left in the cycle, but when I returned about 20 minutes later, it said it had 39 minutes left to go. None of the other buttons wouldn't work at all. I messed with the control panel and now I can get bulky, delicates, whites and super wash to work. The only other buttons that work are presoak and extra rise. If you push soil level button it turns off totally.
1 Answer Hi. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. If you are unable to enter the diagnostic mode, then this all leads to the replacement of the Led Console assy. part # WP25001206. Thank you. Read More...
Kemp G September 27, 2012 for Model Number FAV6800AWW During the last spin cycle machine beeps and gives error code DC. I have been told that I need a new control panel and possibly a new closing latch for the lid/door.
1 Answer Kemp, The "DC" code in the display, indicates " distribute clothes" The main control board"thinks" there's an Off Balanced Load, not allowing the basket to reach the high spin speed in the allotted time. There are several possibilities, most likely being a slipping belt or clutch 12002211 or WP25001169 (depending on serial number), and WP25001054. Read More...

Aj May 03, 2012 for Model Number FAV6800AWW Washer was running for about 2 minutes and then the buzzer sounded and it stopped. I could restart it or open the door. The error code "OP" came up.Unplugged the machine and nothing changed when it was plugged in again. The door later opened and the washer would not start again and the code remained. Is there a sensor or something telling it the door was open?
1 Answer AJ, The "OP' error code indicates the control board is not "seeing" the lid close " OP > Lid is Open: Make sure it is fully closed before starting cycle. You first check needs to be the inner lid liner 25001084 , Make sure the liner is not loose or out of position, check the magnet located on the inside of the liner. If all's OK, you'll need to raise the top of the washer, check the wires to the left lid switch and replace the switch assembly WP25001048 . Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Jim April 21, 2012 for Model Number FAV6800AW control board Hi. The washer works great except I can't select a whites or superwash. You press the buttons and nothing happens. What part do I need to fix this ?
1 Answer Hi Jim. I would use the digital capacitor Tester / Volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in repair. Find the inner tech sheet supplied with the unit. Use it to put the unit into the field service test to allow the fault code to come up and tell you which circuit is affected. You may need to replace the console keypad part # WP25001206. Thank You. 1 Answer Hello Jim, First, I need to know what lights are flashing and in what sequence. This could be a fault code. It could even be in child lock. Shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you a service manual. Read More...
