Aj for Model Number FAV6800AWW Washer was running for about 2 minutes and then the buzzer sounded and it stopped. I could restart it or open the door. The error code "OP" came up.Unplugged the machine and nothing changed when it was plugged in again. The door later opened and the washer would not start again and the code remained. Is there a sensor or something telling it the door was open?
Answer AJ, The "OP' error code indicates the control board is not "seeing" the lid close " OP > Lid is Open: Make sure it is fully closed before starting cycle. You first check needs to be the inner lid liner 25001084 , Make sure the liner is not loose or out of position, check the magnet located on the inside of the liner. If all's OK, you'll need to raise the top of the washer, check the wires to the left lid switch and replace the switch assembly WP25001048 . Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
