Parsley March 11, 2020 for Model Number WFE710H0AH The display screen went fritz when using it. Nothing heats, burners or oven. Only receive power to display screen when the burner knob is turned on. When placed in diagnostic mode No error codes display. Says “Test On” When first turned on M258 E225-130 is displayed. Please any advice would be great on the next steps
1 Answer Parsley, It would be recommended to check the wiring of the unit, especially at the terminal block. The top and oven are separate as far as operation and the top will not go through the control board. The common area for the top and the oven would be the terminal block and power supply. Don January 02, 2017 for Model Number Kitchenaid KGST307HBL5 My oven says 350 degrees on the display, but when check it with a temp gun the temp gun says 225 for the actual oven temperature. It shuts off the flame like it "thinks" that it is at 350. I pulled the temp probe and it reads 1073 ohms at room temperature. I heat it to 350 and it reads only 1300 ohms, not 1600 ohms as stated that it should here. That would seem to confirm a bad temp probe, but isn't a low resistance reading at 350 degrees the opposite of what I should expect for this condition? I assume that the control board is unavailable so I don't want to go $62 plus tax and shipping into a dead end. Thanks.
1 Answer Don, It would be recommended to check the sensor probe at the control board that way the wires are being tested as well. If the sensor checks ok, which sounds like it would be ok then the issue would most likely be the control board. The part number for the control board would be 9781980 and you can sent off to see about having the part rebuilt if necessary. Read More...
Kevin June 21, 2016 for Model Number GW395LEPS00 Our Whirlpool oven is giving an E0 F3 error. Recently replaced oven temp sensor and problem went away for a couple days only to return recently. Today the oven was set to bake at 350 and overheated with control panel and surface very warm to the touch.
1 Answer Hello Kevin. Oven sensor opened. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Disconnect sensor from harness. 3. Measure sensor value (between connector pins) between 1000 ? @ 0° C (32° F) and 2697 ? @ 482° C (900° F), (room temperature approx. = 1080 ?). Also measure from sensor connector to sensor casing for possible short. If measurements do not correlate to real temperature, or if short is found, replace sensor. 4. Trace the wires and connectors to the sensor from control, and back to control. If wire or connection is damaged, replace the harness. 5. Reconnect the sensor to the harness. 6. Plug in range or reconnect power. 7. Press BAKE and START/ENTER. Observe for longer than 1 minute. If failure remains, go to step 8. 8. Unplug range or disconnect power. 9. Replace control. Phowatt March 24, 2016 for Model Number Whirlpool YWFE710H0BH0 My gold series whirlpool oven recently experienced a runaway temperature condition and the oven shut down and would not restart. I got the message feature not available. I did the "CANCEL-CANCEL-START" option and it reported a F6E1 fault. In addition the following "M 258 E255-130" was displayed on the screen. I have disconnected the power for 1/2 hour and restarted. The oven how came back on and I tested the bake option at the 350d setting, it beeped when it reached the temp but continued to climb to 450d before I cancelled to test.+ Is the control panel toast? I have tested the temp sensor at the 400d reading and get 1655 ohms. I now have to wait to it returns to room temp before testing again.
1 Answer Phowatt, With this error code it does appear that the control board would be the necessary component to replace. The part number for the control board is WPW10340304. Read More...
Phyllis November 26, 2014 for Model Number WHP54803 Temperatures work great except in the 325 to 375 range...it gets to and holds all other temps correctly. Is this a sensor problem or something more ominous?
1 Answer Hello Phyllis. It does sound like the sensor is bad on the unit. You can test the sensor to see if it is bad on the unit. It should read around 1100 ohms at room temp. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Betsy S January 14, 2014 for Model Number gr556lrks1 You have indicated that I would need to replace the control board...sorry, I cannot locate that part. How much is that part and what is the number?
1 Answer Hello Betsy. 8190770 is the board. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Betsy S January 09, 2014 for Model Number gr556lrks1 We have replaced 2 temperature sensors....now we are getting the following error: AB E5 58...(although, the oven works after clearing the error and letting it wait for some time). Seems to be related to the stove top perhaps. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Betsy. Based on the code provided you will need to replace the control board on the unit. Read More...
Nick October 10, 2013 for Model Number KGRT607HBS8 I try to bake or convection and no matter what I set temperature to the oven overheats and burns everything, I hung a separate oven thermometer inside and even at setting of 175 the oven climbs above 450, do you think it is the temperature sensing probe or is there a thermostat somewhere that tells the oven to stop and start to keep the correct temperature? Thank you. Nick.
1 Answer Hello Nick. You need to test the sensor. Should read 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 ohms at 350°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Bill S September 02, 2013 for Model Number gr556lrks1 After turning the oven on, we receive an error EO F3 .......; is that 2 different errors? What parts are needed to fix this? The oven does turn on, but won't stay on..... Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bill. Top oven sensor open. Check for open circuit. Sensor resistance should be 1k O to 1.1k O at room temperature. If not, replace sensor. Read More...
Elizabeth S August 26, 2013 for Model Number GR556LRKS1 We are receiving an error...EH F3. Do we need a new temperature sensor? Thanks
