Len April 09, 2012 for Model Number KUDIO1LBS3 dishwasher The control lock light is on and will not go out following the reset procedure. Could the door latch, which you have to play with to get to close, be the problem? THNX
1 Answer Len, The more likely issue is a faulty keypad on the conmtrol panel WP8531248. " PROBLEM: WON’T RUN AND LED ABOVE KEY(S) IS BLINKING > Stuck key(s) or shorted circuit(s) in keypad. > Check keypad. > Shorted circuits or connections on the control that read the keys. > Check control." The door latch and switches may need to be aligned or adjusted, you'll be able to check them when you replace the control panel., but that's the least likely issue at this point. Allen December 26, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid Model KUDP01IL Water does not enter into tub. Float and input valve/solenoid appear OK. Voltage to input valve/solenoid is 102VAC. Should it be 120VAC? Does that mean that one of the relays is bad on the main board (Whirlpool 8267371 AP3775964)? If it is a bad relay, can you identify which of 3-relays the bad one is? Thanks, --Allen
1 Answer Allen, Power to the fill valve solenoid (120 VAC) is supplied through the K3 relay on the control board, on the blue/black wire, down to the float switch, through the float switch and into the solenoid coil. The brown wire at the solenoid is routed up to the control board to the P2pin3 wire and completes the circuit to the neutral leg through the control board circuitry at the P7 white wire. Due to libility and safety reasons the manufacturer and APP Do Not reccomend you attempt to rebuild or repair a printed circuit board. At 102 VAC to the fill valve, check and make sure there are no loose wires or connections in thw wiring we mentioned and repalce the control board if all's OK. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Karl June 19, 2011 for Model Number KUDK03ITBL3 Our Kitchen Aid Dishwasher door will not latch anymore. There was something in the upper tray causing it not to open and my wife forced it open. It bent the catch forward, and now, even with the catch pushed back, the door won't latch. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Karl! If the catch is ok and the door is not latching your will need to inspect the door latch actuator WP8524471, handle WP8269117, and latch bracket 8193882 to see which part has broken and replace. Thanks! Read More...
Shery May 26, 2011 My husband found the part number 8267371 to have a burnt "connector". Bar code # R3M5W60C. We will need to replace it. Our new question is: Why did the connector burn and do we need to do more diagnostic testing to find out why the connector burnt, ie. Should we test the motor to see if its burned out? Model number: GU1200XTLQ2.
1 Answer Hello Shery. If you found a burnt connector on the control board WP8564543. The connector could of got burnt by a power surge and you will have to replace the board. Thanks! Read More...
Shery I. May 21, 2011 for Model Number GU1200XTLQ2 My dishwasher had difficulty draining. Now the electricity appears to be disconnected. When I push a button to turn it on, there is no response. What could it be?
1 Answer Hello Sherry. If your unit no longer lights up or functions the first thing you would want to check is that you are getting power to the appliance. If you are, it is possible your thermal fuse, 8193762, has failed. If you need more assistance troubleshooting the unit, you can visit the repair forum and the techs there could walk you through the diagnostic process. I will include a link to them in this message. I hope this info helps! http://forum.appliancepartspros.com Read More...
