Diy August 02, 2022 for Model Number WTW5500XL2 To begin with, the wash did not go through final spin, leaving clothes soaked. I ran a light load through, it washed but stayed in "high speed spin" for a very long time. The next time I tried it, with a light load it stayed in sensing mode for a vey long time, I heard a couple of fairly loud clicks while it was in sensing.

Julio June 18, 2022 I have a washer model MVWC360AW0 and it does not rinse nor does it drain I don't know if it can be the actuator?

Gregg R June 14, 2022 for Model Number CAE2745FQ0 Coin operated commercial machine. While in the agitate cycle, the motor is making abnormal, loud noise. Gets through this cycle and then drains, rinses, drains again but never goes into spin mode so cloths come out very wet. Not sure if this is the clutch or actuator? Please advise. Thank you!
1 Answer Gregg, We are sending you the service guide to put the unit into diagnostics and check the error codes. You have this same tech sheet inside your unit. Lift the top and check inside the front panel top left corner in a plastic bag. Find the fault codes then look for troubleshooting in your manual per fault code. Read More...
Kat May 30, 2022 for Model Number Wtw5640xw0 My parents whirlpool cabrio washing machine wtw5640xw0 is making this stupid awful noisy while washing a load of clothes. The whole time it's doing it's cycle. Not squealing or grinding, just like a repetitive noise like you can hear it agitating the clothes. It also slings blackish oily residue in the underside area. The little plastic cover that goes over the belt area is just covered with it plus a little on the floor. I've searched and found 50 different answers and I'm just trying to prevent them from having to spend a god awful amount of money on a washer that could be fixed. I'm not trying to be a replace the entire thing person if it could be fixed. We are very handy helpers and my significant other is quite the handy guy so if it's fixable he can do it. I just need to know what to buy before I buy parts I don't need or get the wrong parts in general. Any help would be above and beyond appreciated. Thanks!
1 Answer Kat, Based on the information provided the gearcase assembly is a likely culprit. W11132267 Read More...
Jeff May 09, 2022 for Model Number NTW4601BQ1 Hi, Amana Top load NTW4601BQ1 Fills and spins fine but when in agitate mode the agitator AND tub both move from side to side about 2 inches back and forth and nothing else (apart from buzzing and clicking) Agitator has been removed and inspected, splines are fine as is the drive block. All splines and teeth in good condition. Inspected underneath and belt good, removal of large pulley and all plastic gears underneath in good condition. All plastic parts intact and in good condition. Could this be a faulty actuator or clutch? Many thanks. JS
1 Answer Hello Jeff, check that the splutch cam/clutch upper and lower haves are separated when in agitation mode otherwise the motor will be trying to turn the tub instead of just the agitator. The shifter has an arm that fits into a lever in the splutch , check if either is broken, the splutch may be stuck in spin mode. Read More...
Billy February 12, 2022 for Model Number MVWC565FW2 Have a Maytag Centennial top load washer that everything runs fine except the agitator moves very slowly and there is a clicking sound when it goes back and forth. Fills fine, spins and drains fine. Could it be the shift motor?
1 Answer It could be the shift motor or the clutch drive kit W10721967. Check the clutch drive by disassembling and doing a visual inspection. Read More...
Brad November 23, 2021 for Model Number WTW4800XQ0 The issue I am having is after the washer lid is closed, the unit will be set to a cycle ( light, normal, or heavy, etc…) and the lid will lock. The unit will just sit there and make a faint clicking noise periodically. However, it won’t run, spin, drain, or fill with water. What is the issue?
1 Answer Brad, It would be recommended to get the tech sheet from under the main top at the left front of the washer and put it into a service diagnostic mode and see if there are any stored error codes. This will be the best way to determine a fault with the unit. Read More...

Scott July 24, 2021 for Model Number Kenmore 110.21302012 I have gone through several diagnostic tests and have observed that sometimes the shifter actuator will not move from the spin location to the agitate location. Running manual tests I can see it trying to make the switch to the agitate position several times and then it will stop trying. However sometimes it will move from spin to agitate and the test will run fine. Motor runs, etc. I think that tells me the electronics/cables that signal the shifter to switch modes are good but either the shifter motor/gear has a bad spot/is too weak OR the splutch is too hard for the motor to switch positions. I've disassembled the splutch and didn't see any obvious issues and can move the switch ring back and forth manually, gears all look good and engage properly in both settings. I'm going to put some lithium grease on the splutch and if that doesn't work replace the shifter assembly. Does that make sense or am I missing something else?
1 Answer Scott, based on the information provided, it sounds like the shift actuator WPW10006355 is failing. Read More...
