Bill January 13, 2014 for Model Number KP26M1XPM I lost the black knob off of the speed control, and was looking to just order it from somewhere. Apparently my only option is to order the entire speed control part (9706648)? Thank you!
Tony December 19, 2013 I recently replaced the control assembly because I had problems with the mixer shutting off or not starting at all. Since replacing the control board the mixer now surges between the low speed selected and high speed back and forth rapidly. Makes the product in the mixing bowl come flying out of the bowl. What can I do to correct this?
1 Answer Tony, Since your mixer is the "solid state" version of the mixer, if you're sure you installed the correct speed control board for your model and serial number, the next step would be to test or replace the hall sensor WP9706648. If the sensor has failed, is not in the proper position, etc. the motor speed will be erratic and cause the symptoms you described. Read More...

Natasha November 18, 2013 for Model Number Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer KV25MXCER I bought this mixer that was exclusive to Costco 2 years ago and am having issues with the lower speed settings. When setting it to 1 or 2 there is a delay in powering on and it makes a very high whining noise on these settings as well. As soon as it's placed into a higher speed setting the whining stops. I was told to replace the brushing, but I dont think this mixer comes with brushings. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Natasha. No brushes are used in this model. You need to replace the motor WPW10247536 in the unit. Read More...
