Oren January 01, 2013 for Model Number KG25H7XER I accidentaly used my mixer overseas in a 220v outlet and burned up the mother board Part 9706648. When replacing this part can I convert the mixer to 220v or must I re order the same 110v part and use a converter. Are there other parts that might also need to be replaced. Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Oren, The mixer cannot be modified from original design. You would have to use a converter. You would have to test the unit to see if there are any other parts that would be required but normally it would just be the mother board that you would need. Read More...

Soo August 08, 2012 for Model Number kv25goxmc I have a stand mixer kv25goxmc (110v) bought early this year. But, it was plugged directly into a 230/240v wall socket thereby burning the pc board. I understand there is only one control board for this model. Is this control assembly (black knob) THE one and is this part suitable for a 110v model? Should I also get a grey knob too? Also what is the difference between a KV25GOXMC4 and KV25GOXMC5? Please help, and thanks.
1 Answer Hello Soo! When the manufacturer changes the last engineering digit in the model number something on the model was manufactured differently. We do not have the specs on each model to be able to advise the exact difference. The black and grey control assemblies are the same, just with a different colored knob. The control assembly with the black knob is part number WP9706648 and the control assembly with the gray knob is part number WP9706648. Each is suitable for 110v. Thanks! Read More...
Mickster July 17, 2012 for Model Number KP26M1XNP Our mixer was working wife turned it off and when turned back on nothing. Voltage meter shows voltage at motor contacts on board and continuity thru motor but doesn't run. Which is more likely board or motor? Is there another test?
1 Answer Hello Mickster. If there is power coming to the motor on the unit, and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the motor WPW10247536 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dan B. July 07, 2012 for Model Number km25g Ser. # wt4492681 After using my mixer for a year then all of a sudden when you put it on stir it would run wild and then shut off. Bought a new control switch (ap3606228). It did the same thing so you sent me another one and it worked for a few months and now it is doing the same thing. Do these control modules have an inherent problem so I should request another one and try it or could there be some other thing going on with the mixer?
1 Answer Hi Dan. Replace the hall effect motor sensor part # WP9706648 along with the spped control part # WP9706648. Thank You. Read More...
Dan T. June 06, 2012 for Model Number kv25goxww Speed control is intermittant. slide knob does not control the speed. When powered up, the speed changes from fast to slow to off without touching the mixer. If the control is set for medium and the motor does not turn, just tapping the knob will intermittantly start and change the speed.
1 Answer Hello Dan. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the speed control WP9706648 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...

Rod May 27, 2012 I need to buy a KitchenAid Stand Mixer Hall Sensor Part #9703312 and Control Assembly Part #9706648 for a 110V mixer I bougth in California, is you parts for 220V or 110 V?
1 Answer Rod, Check the information on the model number serial plate on the mixer. That will tell you the voltage and hurtz rating. Usually unless otherwise noted Kitchen Aid mixers are rated at 110 VAV 60 Hz. So, WP9706648 and WP9706648 will be the parts to order and will be rated at 110 V 60 H, and will work in your machine.
