Penny April 05, 2012 for Model Number mah8700aww I got a nickel stuck in the pump. I got the nickel out then we would put water in it and it wouldn't drain the water back out. The pump was kicking on but wouldnt pump water out. It would go through the cylces up to 9 and thats it and would not drain water out. Could you tell me what it might be?
1 Answer Hello Penny, If the nickel contacted the pump impeller, it could have ruined the pump. All it takes to do this is something contacting the impeller while it's running and it will break the plastic impeller free from the stainless steel motor shaft. Read More...

David March 09, 2012 for Model Number mah6700aww We had a coin stuck in the drain pump that gave us the "nd" error. I was able to remove the coin, but appears the problem burned out a motor somewhere because now the washer turns on, but doesn't function. It sounds like it wants to work, but just hums and doesn't move. The pump was hot to the touch. I am assuming we broke the pump and good with replacing it. Is the burned out pump the cause of the not working or could there be another problem? I don't want to replace one part only to find it doesn't fix the problem.
1 Answer Hello David. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pump assembly WP34001340 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Lynnette November 09, 2011 for Model Number NFW7200TW I ordered replacement part AP4044331. It arrived today. The serial #, etc matches my old part exactly. However, the base is shaped completely different and has only a single screw to attach(rather than 2 on the original part) and there is no place to put the metal reinforcement. There is NO WAY that this part will fit into the rubber piece that keeps it from banging into the metal. IS there something I'm missing here??
1 Answer Hi Lynette. If your model # ends with the last 2- numbers of "10", then you will need pump part # WPW10175948. This is the pump part complete with brackets and complete assy. You received the pump without the mount bracket. You should be able to compare with the old pump to see where the mount bracket exactly bolts to the pump. Remove the side screws on the new pump and mount the bracket there. Make sure you have the inside o- ring placed in correctly if it falls out. Then slide and twist firmly into the base. Tom November 05, 2011 for Model Number NFW7200TW I'm getting code nd. I can hear the drain pump activated and run (drain hose vibrates) and there is no water standing in the tub. Is my problem the water pressure sensor (level sensor) or the drain pump?
1 Answer Tom, The "ND" error code, is a drain issue indicater, " The water level fails to drop below the low water level reset, withibn 15 minutes, before a spin cycle begins" . You may need the water level switch WP34001324 and you should disconnect the air tube that attaches to it and blow into the tube, to clear any debris inside the tube. check and make sure its not twisted or kinked. It sounds like the drain pump is not the issue, but you do want to remove the hoses and check for possible clogs or restrictions in the hoses and pump. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
