For Whirlpool Washer Drain Pump Assembly (Part Number: OEM18025302)

Hello Penny, If the nickel contacted the pump impeller, it could have ruined the pump. All it takes to do this is something contacting the impeller while it's running and it will break the plastic impeller free from the stainless steel motor shaft.

David for Model Number mah6700aww

We had a coin stuck in the drain pump that gave us the "nd" error. I was able to remove the coin, but appears the problem burned out a motor somewhere because now the washer turns on, but doesn't function. It sounds like it wants to work, but just hums and doesn't move. The pump was hot to the touch. I am assuming we broke the pump and good with replacing it. Is the burned out pump the cause of the not working or could there be another problem? I don't want to replace one part only to find it doesn't fix the problem.

Hi Lynette. If your model # ends with the last 2- numbers of "10", then you will need pump part # WPW10175948. This is the pump part complete with brackets and complete assy. You received the pump without the mount bracket. You should be able to compare with the old pump to see where the mount bracket exactly bolts to the pump. Remove the side screws on the new pump and mount the bracket there. Make sure you have the inside o- ring placed in correctly if it falls out. Then slide and twist firmly into the base. If you need to contact us, Please call 1-877-477-7278 A.P.P. Call Center. Thank You.

Tom, The "ND" error code, is a drain issue indicater, " The water level fails to drop below the low water level reset, withibn 15 minutes, before a spin cycle begins" . You may need the water level switch WP34001324 and you should disconnect the air tube that attaches to it and blow into the tube, to clear any debris inside the tube. check and make sure its not twisted or kinked. It sounds like the drain pump is not the issue, but you do want to remove the hoses and check for possible clogs or restrictions in the hoses and pump. Thanks and Good Luck
