Brett, You will want to check to see if there is 120 vac going to the auger motor. If there is then check to see if the ice bin is jammed up causing the unit to not be able to dispense. If there is not then it may be a faulty main control board causing the issue.

I have an 6/7 year old Amana Fridge/Freezer with the freezer on the bottom. The unit stopped cooling but the electronics and lights still work. I called a repair person and they took off the back panel inside the freezer and found a layer of ice on the top of the evaporator fins. Then told me the control panel was running hot and I need to replace the control panel for $500. But wouldn't the control panel be running hot if the evaporator had ice build-up? I did not see the technician test the evaporator fan - should he have? The tech ordered a new control panel but now I'm questioning if the tech was trained properly?

Nash, If the noise that you are hearing is like a rapid clicking type noise then it would most likely be that the icemaker is hung up and would need to be replaced.

Anthony, The first thing to check would be to make sure that the control is not locked. If the control is not locked then the most likely cause for the keypad to not work would be either the keypad itself or the Low Voltage control board.

Hello Scott, You should run the service test as outlined in the tech sheet. This will enable you to run tests on the unit without any special test equipment. You can force any component on and off with this test. If you cannot run the tests as described, the control WPW10310240 has failed and will require replacement.
