Susi S. July 17, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW1 Hello from Canada. I was told my Whirlpool Duet washer needs a "control board". Well, it has been almost 9 weeks and there is still no sign of the part. The repair person claims that the US part won't work on my machine as the parts are different, and that the part has to be custom built in Canada, for about $300.00 I find this story hard to believe, and even harder to accept is the fact that I still don't have a washer two months after the service call! Is this true about the parts being different in the two countries? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Susi, While it is true that export models have different parts, the electronic control on this unit is WP8182695 and is in stock and I cannot see having a 2 month wait for the part. Since we do not have the capability of shipping to Canada, I would recommend to find someone with an address in the U.S. and have us send it to them. They can then ship it on to you from there. I say this because we have the part in stock and you can get the part delivered is a relatively short time, even with a "layover". Read More...
Danny July 08, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW0 The water will not stop entering the tub. I replaced the pressure switch and also blew into the pressure switch hose . Do I need to replace the CPU board? I hope not.
1 Answer Hello Danny, If the screens are not stopped up between the water valve and the home water supply, the most likely cause of this is the water valve WP8181694. Read More...

Rangerdude January 11, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW4 Hi - I have a GHW9150PW4 Whirlpool Duet front loading washer. The unit fills up half way with water and after 12 minutes generates a F/H error. I replaced the pressure switch 8181695 and vacuum tubing leading to the pressure switch. I hate to buy a control board 8182695 if not the problem. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Rangedude, You will want to make sure that there is no clogged screen in the water valve. Check to make sure that there is not a siphoning issue where the water is draining at the same time. Verify the wire harness connections to the inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and central control unit. Check hoses for leaks verify the flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measure the resistance and if all of this checks ok then replace the Central control unit. Read More...
John December 19, 2013 for Model Number ghw9150pw0 washer starts to fill with water ( water pressure is good), then within approx. 30 seconds an FH code beeps and the water stops. what and how do I test, to diagnose the problem? pretty certain it is not the inlet valve, seems to be working until the code beeps, then the water slows and stops.
1 Answer John, The "FH" error code indicates an issue in the water fill circuit " FH / No water detected entering machine or pressure switch trip not detected." Since your " water pressure is good" you would want to start by checking the air pressure tube WPW10004260 disconnect the hose from the water level switch WPW10514214 to the drain pump assembly 280187 and blow in the end of the hose, This should clear any debris that may have accumulated in the tube, and is blocking the air flow to the switch. Also check and make sure there are no loose wire connections at the switch and the CCU. Read More...
Rhonda A. November 09, 2013 for Model Number wfw9500tw2 My washing machine will not do anything and I had a repair man out and he said it was the board on the bottom of the washer... He also wants to charge as much for the repair as I paid for the washer. What board is he talking about? And is it possible to replace this myself?
Scott August 28, 2013 for Model Number ghw9150pw2 My washer only allows me to lock and unlock the controls. no other lights come on. what would be the problem?
1 Answer Hello Scott, You should pull the tech sheet and put the unit into a diagnostic test. If it will not go, check all connections by unplugging each connector and re-connecting them. Do this, of course, one at a time so you don't cross any connections. If this still produces no results, the user interface WP8182785 has failed and will require replacement. Read More...
Jill August 26, 2013 for Model Number GHW9150PW I recently moved my machine from Forestville, CA to San Francisco, CA in the back of a pickup. We believe it was working fine before the move. We connected water supply (h & c) and when we plugged it in, the display initially read 888, then all the red lights came on at once on the control panel, with the exception of the cycle complete light, which was green. Then the end of cycle signal came on & stayed on. HELP!!! Thanks in advance!!
1 Answer Hello Jill. Disassemble the unit and look for loose wire connections on the controls. Read More...
