Trent January 02, 2016 I have an Amana refrigerator that uses the IC-6 model ice maker. It just quit working. I believe that it is just the ice maker as it is pretty worn with the mold flaking off. Can I just get the ice maker by itself and how much is it?
Tim September 09, 2015 for Model Number GB9SHDXPS01 My ice cube maker is "leaking" into the tray and is making cubes as well as leaving water in the tray that freezes and fills half of the tray. Is this in need of a new valve, whole replacement tray or anything I can check first to see if it's something simple? Thanks!

Tom August 05, 2014 for Model Number 59668147891 on the ice maker the water overflows when filling the tray and turns into a huge piece of ice in the ice cube tray... What might be the cause of this a valve or does the whole thing need to be replaced.......thanks
1 Answer Tom, You will want to make sure that it is definitely water that is overflowing. Check the fill cup on the icemaker to make sure that there is no ice that is in it which would cause water to overrun. Also check to make sure that the icemaker mold is not leaking or deteriorating. Unfortunately the inlet valve in my refrigerator is a dual valve (one inlet and two outlets, one for the ice maker and one for the water dispenser. This kit came with two separate valves, so two inlets and two outlets. I would rather not run a second water inlet.
