Greg, Two things to check for this complaint. first remove the washer front panel(two screws) then start the washer. observe the lid lock assembly in the upper left portion of the opening / lid. The solenoid should activate and raise the lock lever(that's probably the relay click you hear). When the lever raises it should activate the micro switch WP10533003 mounted on the right side of the assembly. Check that the switch is being activated and that the switch has an "open" circuit in the unlocked position, and a "closed" circuit when the lever raises and latches the lid. If all's OK slide the washer out from under the dryer just enough the reach the left rear corner of the top, disconnect the "umbilical cord", check the pins in both connectors remove any corrosion as best possible. Reseat the connectors and make sure the cords are seated and locked together, and operate the washer.

Hello Ron, You should use a test meter to test resistance from the yellow #6 wire with a black trace on the motor relay WPW10133335 to the grey #50 wire on the same relay. This reading should be open since the relay is not energized. If it reads open it is good and you will need to test the centrifugal switch in the motor W10411000 Red #15 to Black #54. This should also read open when not connected to power. If both of these test good, the issue will be the control WP33001048.

Shane, If the control will not function and no pad will respond you will want to check the following. Check to make sure that there is 120 vac into the transformer and that there is 10 and 26 vac coming out of the transformer if not replace the transformer. Test at the control board to make sure that there is 10 and 26 vac if not replace wiring between transformer and control. if all this checks ok then replace the control board.

Innrry, The touchpad assembly 306292 is definitely part of the issue. The constant beep and pressure needed to select settings and start the machines. When you replace the assembly, make sure you transfer the white plastic spacers between the control board WP33001048 and the touch pad assembly to the new part. " A built in self diagnostic test program can be initiated from the touch pad assembly. To call this program up : 1. Pess the washer OFF pad then the dryer OFF pad. 2. Press and hold the dryer signal ON/OFF pad. 3. Press the washer Regular Program pad(while still holding the dryer signal ON/OFF pad.) The cycle and option indicators will blink on and off. The washer display will show "- 18", the dryer display will show "88", and the speaker will sound four times. The indicator and readouts will continue to cycle on and off until the diagnostics check is terminated by pressing the dryer "OFF" pad." Once you install the new touch pad assembly, and conduct this test, you'll know if you need the control board or not.

Sandi, Don't start at the control board, not yet anyway. You need to check the heater relay WP306199 to see if it closes, and sends 120 VAC to the heater element 314503 and check the heater element for a "closed" circuit with a multi meter. Or visually inspect it for breaks, especially in the area of the insulators. The heater relay is mounted to the side of the "pedestal" where the motor mounts to the cabinet base.
