Felix November 17, 2011 for Model Number RBD245PDQ12 When upper oven is used, the element gets very hot and door will not open. Upper oven off switch did not turn off oven. Had to shut off power at circuit breaker and got F-3 error code. Before all this happened the clock started to act up and button would have to be pressed in order to see the time of day?
1 Answer Hi Felix. The clock control is part # 1057546. The oven sensor is part # WPW10131825. Thank You. Read More...
Chris November 15, 2011 I have been trying to order the microcomputer Whirlpool PN 8302967 for a double oven. Who has one that is not on backorder? The display is the only thing not working. Can some one repair the existing board I have if a new is not available?
1 Answer Hello Chris. The control board 8302967 is on a national back order from the manufacture and should be available 2/17/2012. We do not know of any way to repair the unit. We only deal in manufacture replacement parts. Sorry. Read More...
Rosco November 06, 2011 for Model Number rbd245pdb15 My double oven shows a fault code of E6 F2. It works for a while then goes out and the code comes before the screen goes blank again. Then after time it may come back on again and work for a few more weeks then goes out again. I have seen blogs saying it may be a really inexpensive part (I think it was a sensor of some kind), others blogs say it could be a more expensive control panel. What do you think?
1 Answer Hello Rosco! The E6 F2 fault code indicates a cancel key drive is open: 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board). 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock). For your model you will use the control panel assembly (membrane switch) part number WP8300427. Thanks! Read More...
Brian November 03, 2011 for Model Number RBD305PDB12 I was getting intermittent "E6 F2" error and blank display. Occasionally get a series of beeps. Oven light works, nothing else does. Re-seated and cleaned ribbon cable connector. Verified continuity at low voltage transformer common leads. Verified 120 on each leg of A/C. Left ribbon cable unplugged for period of time and received "E1 F2" error. After several days with ribbon cable unplugged "E6 F2" error came back. Ordered a Control Panel and replaced last night. It worked... for about 10 minutes - now display is blank. Anything else I should be doing? Control Board is OOS and Thanksgiving dinner is in jeopardy?
1 Answer Hello Brian. According to the manufacture, if the control panel does not repair the issue, you will need to replace the control board 8302967. Also, if the display is blank, then that leads to the control board as well. Hope this helps. Read More...
Gary October 28, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool RBD305PDQ4 The broil function does not work, but the lower element works fine. I checked the resistance on the upper element and it is good. I rang out all the wiring and the thermal switch and everything checks out. I am wondering if it is one of the relays on the control panel, what do you think?
1 Answer Hello Gary. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board 8302967 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Eric June 06, 2011 for Model Number GBD307PDQ3 My display half of it went out, oven still worked for about three months. Then the dispay went out all the way still worked fine for awhile. Then the oven stopped working. All it does is beep when in use. Are the fuses bad? Should I just go ahead and replace the contrlo panel?
1 Answer Hello Eric. You can test the thermal cut off WP9759243. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, you will need to replace it. If it is good, then you will need to test and see if the control board 8302967 is sending power to the elements. If not, then you will need to replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jan May 31, 2011 for Model Number RBD276PDQ7 Ovens will not turn off when press the upper off and lower off buttons. Have to turn oven off by turning off circuit breaker. Have had the ovens for 11 years. The orange numbers for oven temp etc. have always been very dim, sometimes so dim cannot read them. The green numbers for the time are very clear and and bright. When turned breaker back on and tried oven again, the orange numbers and words were more visible than have been in years. Thought it was working better, but again the ovens would not turn off. Had to turn off breaker to get ovens to turn off. Tried again and the numbers not as bright. I'm thinking I will need a new control panel or could it be the fuse. Thank you, Jan
1 Answer Hello Jan. Based on your description, it sounds like you may have two problems. You will need to replace the control panel 8300432 for the off button and the control board 8302967 for the display. Hope this helps. Read More...
