John R January 08, 2016 for Model Number GEW9200LQ0 Hello: my Duet. Starts normally but has no heat. I replaced the heating element about 1 year ago, tested element, all thermostats, thermal fuse, high heat fuse, thermistor and all show continuity. I tested plug connectors, right to middle= 120v, left to middle = 120v, left to right = 245v. Is it the board?
1 Answer John, There is a good chance that the relay on the board is bad and would be causing the unit to not heat. If you go to the control board and locate the heater relay. Turn the unit on to a dry setting and test for 240 vac across the relay. If there is 240 vac then the issue will be a faulty board and it will need to be replaced. Read More...
Donna December 31, 2015 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 It says on test #3 heater test measure resistance between P2-5 and P2-6.It measures 10 ohms - it says on the sheet if between 6-7 replace the machine control electronics. So if it is at 10 is the machine control bad or good?
1 Answer Donna, With the resistance reading more than 6 to 7K ohms of resistance then the control is good but at 10k ohm sounds like the thermistor will need to be replaced. Read More...

Ken September 30, 2015 for Model Number GEW9250PW1 This dryer at times would not start and when it did the cycle ran fine. Now I can no longer start it. Three LED's remain lit they are the normal led, the touchup led, and center led of the more or less led group. I have ohmed out the door switch and reseated connectors on the control board. Is the control board most likely the problem?
1 Answer Ken, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty User interface board in which it may have a stuck key. The part number for the interface is WP8558753. Read More...
Nick September 28, 2015 for Model Number GEW9200LW1 My dryer has no heat. I've replaced the thermal fuse, dryer heating element, thermal cut-off kit, thermostat, and thermistor. Everytime I replaced the new item and then run the dryer, it has heat for several times. I am wondering if it is the problem on the control board. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Nick, This can be the control board WP8546219 or the centrifugal switch in the motor assembly 279787. Read More...
Swami September 12, 2015 for Model Number GEW9250PW0 The control lock indicator just beeps and flashes. Can't get any other buttons to work. Joseph September 08, 2015 for Model Number GEW9200LQ0 Our electric duet dryer's LED control panel has progressively gotten worse over time to the point where it now will not light up at all. First it would only work on timed dry and beep during the cycle. Then once you opened the door, it wouldn't work anymore. Then, if I unplugged it, and left it overnight, it would reset and work again for one cycle. Now the lights don't come on at all, but the interior dryer light does come on. I don't know if it is the control board or the interface or possibly some other electrical issue?
1 Answer Hello Joseph, This will be either a loss of continuity at a connector or the board WP8546219 has failed. Of course the thermostats and door switch should be checked for any discoloration and continuity when in the closed position. Read More...
