Stan February 15, 2015 for Model Number 11084834200 unplug dryer 4 min.it run 4 short time then shuts off then no lights at all and wont start at all again.
1 Answer Stan, With the unit completely shutting down you will want to check to make sure that the connections at the terminal block are not damaged and there are no loose connections. If this checks ok then the issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty control board. Read More...
Dio February 03, 2015 for Model Number GEW9200LW1 I have no error codes and all of the lights come on in the front panel. The dryer doesnt start, I here a beep when I try to start it but it doesn't start. I did the trouble shooting steps 1 and step 2. The ground cable has continuity, the p1-3 and p1-4 have an ohm reading of 2, the quick ref states to "replace the machine control electronics" or control board. Can I count on that being the problem? I am going right off the tech sheet. Please help
1 Answer Dio, The main control board will most likely be the cause of the issue, especially if you did the testing and the control board is what is stating needs replaced. Read More...
Liquid Shadow January 17, 2015 for Model Number GEW9250PW1 My dryer trouble started with the timer numbers flashing and the following LEDs lit up, sensing; timed dry; and low temp. I tried pulling the power cord and when plugged back in it is now flashing PF for power failure. All buttons and functions are locked and do not do anything. I folllowed the diagnostics to test the power cord and continuity to the control board. I also checked the fuse and it was ok. Would this be a faulty control board, or could you give me suggestions on what else should be tested? Model #GEW9250PW1
1 Answer Liquid shadow, If you push the cancel button and the PF remains then the issue will be in the control board which is part number WP8546219. Read More...

Mark December 05, 2014 for Model Number GEW9250PW0 I have a problem with the dryer not coming on when pressing the 'Control On' button. I can turn the rotary dial and get the control to come on that way, and the dryer will work for a load and then become unresponsive or just start when closing the door until I unplug it for a while and then it will work again. I have gone through the diagnostic tests and all lights work and buttons test correctly according the diagnostic chart using a DVM. The diagnostic test instructions for the dial seems incorrect. I substituted P3 where it listed P1. I get different ohm values than on the chart on some switch positions, but I get infinity(open circuit) exactly as indicated on the chart. My question is: Is it the interface or the control board?
1 Answer Hello Mark. It sounds like the control board WP8558756 will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Ray December 03, 2014 for Model Number maytag The dryer will not start. It has a electronic control board. Part of the control lights will not come on. There are no error codes. I have checked all the switches, door, thermostats. the belt is still on.

Richard December 02, 2014 for Model Number Maytag 5000 Series dryer with steam MEDE500VW1 Dryer powers up fine. When I hold the start button, it gives 3 quick beeps and won't start. No circuit breakers have tripped, the vents are cleaned out, and the thermal fuse, thermistor, heating element, thermal cutoff, and thermostat have all tested good. The dryer was purchased in May 2011. What do I test next?
1 Answer Hello Richard. Look for bad belt switch or door switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Nick November 28, 2014 for Model Number GEW9250PL Dryer will not turn on at all. Checked the breaker, plug, wire, and terminal block. Followed the manual and it said to replace the electronic control panel. Is it the control board with the selector buttons and switches or the control board internal that's mounted between terminal block and control panel?
1 Answer Hello Nick, You will most likely need to replace the relay board WP8546219. This is the board that mounts beneath the main top. The other board in the control panel is considered the user interface. Read More...
John September 21, 2014 for Model Number GGW9250PW02 The control lock will not release. The button is not stuck. If the unit is unplugged for several hours the light may be off when plugged back in but it will come back on after one cycle is complete.
Ej September 08, 2014 for Model Number gew9200lw1 I replaced a bad thermister and replaced it, It worked for about one minute then gave E1 error. The Thermister blew again. What should I check next??
1 Answer Hello EJ. It sounds like you may have a wiring harness issue and not a thermistor issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
