Robert October 28, 2022 Your website lists the Whirlpool control board #8564543 as a replacement (cross reference) for control board #8534866. My question is: Can I go the opposite direction and use #8534866 as a replacement for #8564543?
Rajeev G October 11, 2022 for Model Number Dishwasher GU1500XTLS3 What is the difference between parts number WPI8564543 and 8564543 or WP8564543. Thanks. Our repairman says we need a new circuit board and I am seeing 856543 or WP 8564543. When I do a crosscheck with these numbers on the internet I do not see our dishwasher model. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Rajeev, The correct control board for your unit would be part number WP8564543 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Jane November 27, 2021 for Model Number GU1200XTLQ3 The lights of Sani Rinse on the control panel flashing always, push the Cancel button, then both lights are flashing. Open the door, the lights are still flashing. What causes the problem? Is the control panel out of order? How to fix the problems? Thank you.
1 Answer Jane, the dishwasher not running and the sani-rinse LED flashing would indicate a stuck or shorted key on the console. Unfortunately, the white finish console WP8534834 has been discontinued and is no longer available. However, the manufacturer still produces the black finish console WP8534833. Read More...
Dan June 04, 2021 for Model Number KUDS01FKSS1 I have a kitchen aid dishwasher KUDS01FKSS1. The soap door release solenoid constantly triggers very fast through out the wash cycle. Very loud popping, banging noise. I have measured the voltage with it unplugged from the solenoid and I am getting a constant 103volts. When the wires are plugged into the solenoid I get a constant 24-26volts. I assume I should only get a pulse of ~115volts to open the door once for a cycle. Correct? Anybody know of a fix for the control board? New relay? etc? Otherwise I am guessing I need a new control board. The original part number is 8528874. I would like to confirm that parts 8564543 & 8534963 are compatible. Are they? Is there a better replacement part number that might be better (upgrades and/or fixes)? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Dan, from the symptom you are describing the control board (WP8564543) and the dispenser assembly (WP8558129) would need to both be replaced however the control board is no longer available. Read More...

Josh February 08, 2021 for Model Number KUDS01DJBL1 I have a kitchenaid dishwasher - KUDS01DJBL1. About 2 months ago the thermal fuse blew and I replaced it and all was good. Now, the dishwasher works as expected, except that when it gets to end of cycle it keeps whirring - I think it's the drain pump that is making the noise. I cleaned out the bottom area - removed a bunch of crud, but sill keeps running. I replaced the control unit with another that I had, although not sure if that one works properly - the replacement ran the cycle longer, but still kept whirring at the end. Thoughts on diagnosis? I thought perhaps a turbidity sensor, but i don't think this model has one. I'm quite comfortable checking things with a meter.
1 Answer Josh, the whirring could potentially the vent WP8545533 motor keeping the vent door closed for drying purposes. During a normal cycle it can remain closed for up to 4 hours. Inspecting if the noise is coming from the vent can identify if this would be the source. While the motor can create noises, it should not be excessively loud. Read More...
Debbie October 06, 2018 for Model Number GU1500XTLB1 The light above the Rinse Only blinks and no other controls will respond. I have turned off the power with no difference when turned back on. Nothing works.
1 Answer Hello Debbie, This normally indicates a stuck key on the control panel WP8534839. Read More...
Kim June 21, 2018 for Model Number KUDK01TKBT0 Start button no response. Other buttons for setting light up and Cancel/Drain works. Pics of replacement boards have same connectors but a different orientation and a yellow wire is absent on the replacement. Is 8564543 the correct replacement. The is also an 8564542 and 8564547.
1 Answer Kim, If all the lights are working but the start button is not then the first thing to check would be to make sure that the door switches are good. If this checks ok then check the ribbon harness connector to make sure that it does not have corrosion or damage to it. If this checks ok then the control board would likely be the issue and is part number [Ap60133336]. Read More...
John January 01, 2018 for Model Number KUDS01FLBL3 Kitchenaid Top control dishwasher will not run any wash cycle. Light on button light up and the unit will change modes. Lights on wash cycle buttons illuminate, but unit will not start. Door is completely closed. When pressing the cancel button and closing the door the dishwasher does run the cancel cycle.
1 Answer John, This issue sounds likely that the start button may be faulty in which a control panel would be needed. You will want to access the tech sheet in which it will have a keychart to check the start button. If the start button checks ok then this will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Hugh October 31, 2017 for Model Number KUDP01DLWH0 Went to try and run Kitchenaid DW, it has door top lighted buttons for the cycles and options. We normally run "heavy", "sani-rinse" and "energy saver dry". Today, the "energy saver dry" light doesn't come on when the button is pressed. Try to run anyway, and after the run button pressed, nothing happens. Removed power for a minute to clear electronics, and get the same result. When we press the "heavy" cycle button, the "sani rinse" light comes on as well. I suspect the control board, but what steps should I take to ensure that will fix the problem?
1 Answer Hugh, You can get the tech sheet behind the kickplate and do a check on the control panel using the keychart on the tech sheet. If this checks ok then the control board would be the issue with the unit. Read More...
