Mike October 02, 2011 for Model Number KUDI01ILBL3 Hi, my unit was showing a blinking heavy load light. Any other cycle button pressed would start blinking. Start and cancle would not work. I replaced the contorl board pn 8534963 with the new version pn 8564542. Seemed good at first since cycle button presses would respond, but I did not run it yet. 24hrs later the heavy load light was blinking again and I'm at the same point. Please help. Mike
1 Answer Hi Mike. Your heavy wash indicates that your water valve is failed in operation. Part # is WP8531669. Thank You. Read More...
Arlyn September 30, 2011 for Model Number KUDIO1ILBL6 After replacing control board and unit still not starting, I did a complete resistance check as per schematic and found nothing. I then reconnected everything and the unit started to work, it was in normal wash, energy save dry. About half way through the wash cycle the 2 lites would flicker accompanied by a clunk noise, then they would both go off and the normal button would start flashing. It would do this and then start working again. It did this several times so I shut it down and wrote you.......thanks again for any help you can give me
1 Answer Hello Arlyn. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel W10757829 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Arlyn F. September 26, 2011 for Model Number KUDI01ILB6 Had 3 lights, cancel button would start pump, wouldn't run. Ordered board as advised, had 1 lite and nothing worked. Asked question on line, was sent wiring diagram with instructions to test switches in panel. Tested switches with DVOM using both the ohm reader, and diode scale of the meter and all tested OK. Was sent another board, installed Sat. and it ran fine. Mon only one lite would lite and unit would not run. Removed panel again and tested with ohm meter again, all buttons checked OK, then tested again using diode test of the meter and 2 buttons give a forward reading of 3.1 volts. Could a bad control board cause the diodes to short or is this really a short or just a forward bias inherent to these components. Please help. Thanks Arlyn.
1 Answer Hi Arlyn. What exact light is coming on? The soil sensor will emit a code when it has failed. The sensor is part # WP8269208. Check the heating element to see if it is open. Should read 28-32 ohms. Make sure it is not shorted. Make sure the ribbon cable is plugged in securely. You need to use dishwasher monthly to keep all operating correctly. Part # is TJ104. Mike Smead September 10, 2011 for Model Number 66515959000 just installed the elec. control assy. ran one cycle, and now it will now start. green clean light is flashing, and my attempt to restart by shutting power off and to re boot the control assy. has no effect, is this a reman part, it seems the board is defective.
1 Answer Mike, Your "clean" light flashing, is an indication of the water heating option , not reaching the preset temperature. There are several causes, Water temperature in the tub too low, the heater element and or thermostat are malfuntioning. You will need to remove the kickplate in order to find the technical data sheet and test the heater and thermostat circuits to verify. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Tom September 10, 2011 for Model Number KUDS01FKSS0 Just replaced door balance kit and washer stopped working. replaced interface module since some cycle lights were intermittent. Unit will now not start any cycle. Is it the control board? Seems like the only thing left thanks
1 Answer Tom, Are you sure the thermal fuse 8193762 is OK, as well as the door switch circuits ? Also check and make sure the ribbon cable is not damaged, twisted or creased WP8524447 and that it is properly and tightly installed at both controls, before you replace the control board. Bill September 05, 2011 for Model Number KUDS01FLSS1 The dishwasher reverts to the quick cycle, even when I chose the normal cycle. The baked on, normal cycle, and china lights will not come on. The quick light, rinse only, and other lights work, but only quick cycle and rinse will run a cycle. I checked fuse with power disconnected and showed continuity, so it should be good. The ribbon shows a little discoloration on one end (may be the issue)the discoloration is on same side of touch panel as the baked on, normal and china buttons hat are not working. I have replaced the user interface, but same issue. Sometimes I switch out old and new part and occassionally it would work for a cycle then stop, makes me think its the ribbon (short or corrosion)or the control board. What do you think, ribbon and control board? Thanks for the help
1 Answer Hello Bill. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the ribbon cable WP8524447 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Matt L. August 06, 2011 for Model Number KUDI01ILWH3 Dishwasher will not start. Hi Temp scrub LED will not light. Cancel pump drain seems to function. Should I replace control AP313B651 and the ribbon ( part # ?)
1 Answer Matt, You most likely have an issue with the control panel keypad assembly WP8531240 here's some help and information to help you through " DIAGNOSTICS CYCLES AND RAPID ADVANCE SERVICE FEATURE Pressing the following option keys in the sequence shown will either start the Diagnostics Cycle or turn on the Rapid Advance feature for stepping through customer selectable cycles: HIGH TEMP SCRUB (POWER SCOUR) (HIGH TEMP SCOUR) AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) HIGH TEMP SCRUB (POWER SCOUR) (HIGH TEMP SCOUR) AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) OR SANI RINSE AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) SANI RINSE AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) If the above key sequence is entered after starting a cycle, the Rapid Advance feature is turned on, which allows the operator to manually advance the currently running cycle, interval by interval, by pressing the Pots&Pans/Heavy or Anti-Bacteria/Cookware cycle key. If the above key sequence is entered with the dishwasher in Standby, the Diagnostics Cycle is started. The Diagnostics Cycle can be rapid-advanced, interval by interval, by pressing the Pots&Pans/Heavy or Anti-Bacteria/Cookware cycle key " If the control test won't program, or all the LED lights don't turn on, repalce the control panel keypad assembly.
