Sam for Model Number KUDR01TJBL1

Without warning, our dishwasher stopped working. Currently the Normal wash light is flashing and no other buttons on the panel will function. When we looked online for what the problem could be all signs pointed to the control board. We ordered the new part and installed it, but the Normal wash light is still flashing with the other buttons remaining unresponsive. Upon flipping the breaker, the machine will start to run the was for a few seconds, but will then shut down; the Normal light blinking once again. Does this mean that the issue is not with the Control Board but with the Control Panel? Or is there another issue that we are not aware of?

Hello Sam. Make sure the door switches are good. If so, then you will need to order and replace the control panel on the unit.

Chris, The normal wash on high soil level will run approximately 98 minutes. If the unit is running for longer than this then you will want to check to make sure that the water temperature coming into the unit will be 125 degrees. Make sure that you are purging the hot water at the sink before starting the unit. If these check ok then it could be a issue of the water temperature not getting hot enough or the turbidity sensor could be faulty.

Kris, Yes, with the light flashing above the keys would indicate a control panel that has stuck keys. If you did the key test per the chart and they all check good when not pressing them, they should read open at this point, then it would be a control board. If any of the keys show closed without pushing them then the keypad is bad and will need a control panel.

Hello Chris. Check the pump and the control board for bad connections. You could have knocked one off installing the heater.

Jim, You're going to need to replace the User Interface WP8270168/8270168 inside the control panel. It has miniature buttons and switches imbedded in the board circuitry that can fail.

Kevin for Model Number GU2300XTLB1

Hi. I have just replaced my motor/pump and the unit goes through the cycles correctly and seems to operate normally except for a couple of things: Dishes on the top rack are barely getting cleaned and it is buzzing loudly during the cycle (sounds like 60Hz relay chatter). I have checked the spray arms, sump and waterways for obstructions and they are perfectly clear. Also, I'm not sure that it is filling all the way but I'm not sure how much water should be in the tub when full. The filled level is a half inch below the heating element which seems wrong to me. The float switch works correctly. I know the water supply temp is at least 120 but the water doesn't seem to be as hot as it should be even when using the hi-temp scour function. When I do select that function, wash time is in excess of three hours! The unit also develops an abnormal amount of scum inside and it sounds like the water pressure is weak while washing. I now suspect that the motor is not getting the correct voltage but I can't confirm that with the unit installed. The results are the same with the new motor so I suspect that the motor wasn't the fault. There is no smoke or burnt smell from the panel but could it be the control board given the rest of the symptoms? How can I confirm the correct motor voltage while the unit is installed and running? Thanks!

Hello Kevin. It sounds like the water valve may be bad and not letting in enough water. It should fill up close to the bottom of the heater.

Hello Carol. Yes, it could be the board. Access the board and look for burnt spots on it. If there is some, you will need to replace the control board in the unit.

Hello Sue. That is not the fuse kit. If the fuse was bad the dishwasher would not come on at all. You will need to check for power to the circulation motor. If it is there, and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the motor WPW10757217 in the unit.
