Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the thermal fuse W10258275 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Hello Steve, This does sound like a control issue but you should also check the water heating circuit since this is the most common issue on these that stops the unit from advancing in its' cycle. If you would like more information, please re-post with the full model number and we can pull pertinent information particular to your unit and even provide the part numbers for it.

Mark, This should be just a slide on connector for the orange/blue/yellow and brown wires and you would just pull them off. The ribbon harness will have a clip on it in order to disconnect it.

Clayton, The Blinking clean light would indicate a faulty heating circuit. You will want to check the heater and check the thermistors. Check wiring back to the control board. If all this checks ok then you have a faulty heater drive on the control board.

My whirlpool quiet partner 2 dishwasher is only 14 months old(no warranty purchased) but has had many problems. The detergent cup doesn't open and it doesn't complete the washing cycle...just keeps running and running. A repair man came yesterday and tried running it several times and it ended up filling with sudsy bubbles even though we didn't put any detergent in. We have NEVER put dishwashing liquid in and always use a gel based product specifically for electronic dishwashers. These suds continued through over 20 cycles. I thought cleaning these suds out might fix the build up but the dw is stil not working. He said perhaps a new control panel is needed but with such a new dw, is there any other thing to trouble shoot beforre buying a part that is almost half the cost of the original dishwasher itself??

Sloane, There's a few things to try before you replace anything. Fill the dishwasher, then add a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil,or powderred non dairy coffe creamer to the water and run the dishwasher for 5 or 10 minutes, then check for the suds,(you may have to repeat this process a few times, until the suds are gone. You'll then want to clean the dishwasher with products such as "Affresh" or "Glisten" W10501250 W10549845 to remove any chemical build up in/on the dishwasher components or tub, racks, etc. You then will want to remove the lower kickplate panel, find the tech data information sheet attache dto the back side and conduct the Service Diagnostic cycle. Running this test cycle will reset the control board and sensors back to factory settings, unless there is an issue with one of the sensors or control. If there are no issues once you've done all this, you may want to consider a different type or brand of detergent, and or review the owners manual for proper detergent usage.

Hello Mike, The clean light blinking 7 times indicates a heater problem. Check your heater and wiring to heater to make sure that it is good. If bad correct issue and run diagnostics. This will allow unit to operate normally.

Kate for Model Number DU1145XTPQA

My dishwasher doesn't always work. Tried a number of things. The last time it worked the lights kept blinking. The pots and pans option always lights up, but nothing happens. I would keep the breaker off when not in use, but that's not working anymore. I have looked up the part number, but when I enter the model number, I keep getting told the part isn't for my dishwasher. I took the number right from the part, the control board. Also what is the green strip that plugs into the computer board called? I have a part number, but can't find in on any web site. Thank you. Have a great day.
